Question about 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan

Open Question

Front right tire keeps losing air every few days!

We have had new tires twice now and it just keeps happening. The mechs looked and said they have seen nothing to say we have a leak or a bead...what could possibly be happening? I know for a fact there is no puncture holes.

SOURCE: 2005 Dodge neon front passenger tire keeps going

It's very possible the rim has a slight bend in it, causing an imperfect bead and a slow leak. Only ways to loose air in a tire are:

  1. Loose valve stem
  2. Bad bead (contact between the tire and rim)
  3. A leak in the tire itself due to a puncture

SOURCE: water leaking from undercarriage causing to run hot

The drain hole you are talking about is for the a/c. You need to put a pressure tester on the cooling system. You can get the tool from advanced auto parts tool program you will get all your money back when you return the tool. But watch the gauge if the pressure starts to go down start looking for the leak if it is coming out the same drain you are talking about that is your heater and you have to take out the dash to get to it to replace it. If the gauge is leaking but you don't see the coolant leaking anywhere check your oil see if is white. If so this means you have a blown head gasket. let me know what happens I have more info to give but this will get youj started

The tires must be inflated to what is stated on the driver's door jamb sticker. If your tires are larger than what came factory and require a different pressure than what the door jamb states, the RCDLR must be reprogrammed for such.

Reset tire monitor on 2009 escalade

Hopefully you still have you manual. I will tell you how to reset the HHR, I found it in my manual. Turn the key to on, press lock and unlock at the same time on your key fob. The horn will beep twice telling you that you are in program mode. The left front turn signal light will come on, press the valve core letting air out of the left front tire. The horn will beep when left front is programmed. Then the right front turn signal will come on, let air out till horn beeps. Then right rear, same procedure then left rear same procedure. When that is done horn will beep twice again saying tire program is complete. Turn key off, make sure you air all tires back up.

2005 Dodge neon front passenger tire keeps going flat. Have replaced the tire twice with no luck. At first it was a slow leak, but now it goes flat about every 2-3 days. What would cause this?

My tire pressure light keeps coming on my 2007 Saturn Aura. I am generally losing 5 - 7 pounds of air in my tire(s) every couple of days. I put nitrogen in my tires but it was still happening. I went...

Bummer. I suggest three things are suspect: the tire itself, the wheel, and the fill valve. My guess would be the tires, but to get the answer, you remove the tire, and submerge it under water (not easy without a big tool.)
for Tires, go with Michelin. You will NEVER go back to another brand.

My tire pressure sensor keeps coming on every few days, It recently started this since the weather has turned cold. I keep putting air in the tires. is there anything I can do so that I don't have to keep...

Tires do lose air pressure when the temperature drops. They should stabilize after a while and ndot need constant service. Don't rely on the tire pressure sensor. Use a good tire gage to determine the need to add air. If you are adding air every few days, I would think you had a slow leak somewhere. Is it all 4 tires or just one. What about the wheels. Are they the original wheels, or customs. Some custom wheels don't seal as well as the originals. If you really are losing air every few days, you might want to consider sealing the tires with a commercial product such as the one called Slime. It's kind of pricey, but works great.

Tire loses air pressure

You need to have the tire removed from the car, filled with air, and put in a tank of water to look for bubbles. Any good tire repair shop has a tank of water just for this.

I don't recall if you have Discount Tire in MS, but if you do, go there. They will take care of you.
