Question about 1994 Chevrolet K1500

1 Answer

Heater/air conditioner On my 1994 Chevy 1500 the motor was recently bought and put in (7 months ago). Do not know if this has anything to do with problem or not, but my power to my whole dash guage for my heater and air conditioner comes and goes. It will kick back on for no reason and it goes out for no reason. This is the longest I have been without heat its been out for over a month now. Last time it was only a few days. Fuses are fine wires under dash all seem fine as well. Theres no lights no blower like theres no power at all to that one area. The radio above it works and lights up. Now whaen I have the truck running and no lights on the dash area lights up when I turn on the headlights it all goes black. Any clue? Also why cant I keep this thing on the road in slick conditions. it will not stop at ALL. foot on brake truck still slides and rolls.

same problem only mine happened after I had to jump my truck, I checked all the fuses under the steering wheel and they are all fine, but I know there are generally bigger fuses somewhere, problem is, I cant find them.

Check the power connections at the starter and under the black cover on the passenger side under the hood on the firewall.........sounds like you have a corroded power connection

Do your asterisks **** indicate shaking ?
Be sure motor mounts are OK....engine tilt on the turn may pull or push some wiring connector causing a circuit disconnection.
Don't forget...fuel filter blockage or fuel pump losing efficiency.
I suggest ....don't drive until this is resolved. A shutdown in high traffic could be fatal !

The Rear Wipers on my 2001 1500 Chevy Suburban Stopped working

Unplug the connector at the rear wiper motor, turn the switch on and probe the wires with a test lamp, if you have power back there you more than likely have a bad motor. If there is no power start checking fuses they are all labeled easily on the back side of the fuseblock covers both on the dash and underhood. Good Luck!!!
