SOURCE: left rear window won't go up unless i push it up.

Your window is not getting stuck. The plastic gear parts in the window motor has crumbled OR the cable in the window regulator has broken.

1998 lincoln towncar rear passanger door will not close

Not enough information for an exact diagnosis so check the following: If the door is sagging so the latch won't grab the post on the body, that post is adjustable. You'll need a special socket to do that. Autozone lends tools. If the door latch is out of sync....latch is closed while the door is open then open the door using the outside handle. That will open the latch so it will function correctly. If neither of these suggestions address the problem then be a little more specific in describing your problem so we can be better prepared to help.

1996 lincoln towncar door ajar

For my 96 towncar I determined it was one of the rear doors. Partially remove inside door panel by removing 2 screws on the inside grab handle. these are located behind covers at the end of the door handle. you can use a flat head screw driver to pry up from the bottom of the cover. Then remove other screw located on top corner of door panel. Grab bottom of door panel and give a good pull on it, it should pull out fairly easy because it is held on by plastic clips. Then pull on sides. Towards the back edge of the door behind the panel 3/4 of the way down you will see a single wire going in to the door mechanisms. Cut this wire with wire cutters. Make sure it is a single wire! Put the inside door panel back together. make sure you align the plastic inserts properly and give that area of the door a good whack with your hand. Replace screws. Close all doors. If you found the bad door the door ajar light will go off. If not do the same thing to the other door. I fixed mine on the second try.

Volvo xc90 rear hatch door closed and won't open

Hold the hatch hard closed into its frame whilst pulling on the release handle. The mechanism on most cars consists a grab/release on the door and a simple metal hop at the bottom of the frame. Over time the hoop can become loose and move slightly inwards each time the door is shut. The door seal rubbers push back on the door surround putting a lot of tension against the grab/release mechanism preventing it from releasing. By pressing on the door and compressing the rubber surround you will take the pressure off the release mechanism and allow it to open when you pull on the handle. Once the door hatch is open, loosen the mounting bolts to the metal hoop and move it out about 10mm. Tighten the mounting bolts. Shut the door gently as a trial close and check for security of fit. If very slack, ease the hoop inwards a couple of millimetres. When happy, tighten the mounting bolts securely. draw around the hoop mount with indelible ink so if it moves in future you have early visual warning and can remount it easily

Where is the door module located on a 2003

Remove the driver door panel. You will have to remove the two screws that hold the door closing strap and the one screw behing the interior driver door handle. Gently pull the door panel off by first lifting the panel over the manual lock/ unlock nipple/ shaft. The module is located at the top right corner of the driver door.

Drivers door panel removal 2000 towncar.

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door
