Whenever this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM, SRS, TPMS, MIL, CEL and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

Legend of Abbreviations. ABS Anti-lock brake system. TCS Traction control system, TCM Transmission control module, SRS Supplemental restraint system, BCM Body control module. TPMS Tire Pressure Monitor System, MIL Malfunction Indicator Lamp, CEL Check Engine Light.

SOURCE: My 98 chevy blazer won't shift into 4wd.

Most common problem is the vacuum diaphragm that is so inconviently mounted UNDER the battery tray. The cable that locks in the front diff is attached to it and vacuum pulls it in/out.

SOURCE: 2002 Chevy Silverado clunking noice when shift from 2wd to 4hi

It is somewhat Normal Depending on how Loud the Clunking is. This is a Common Complaint on the Chevy 4x4's. I have verified this through the Dealerships here in Oklahoma and they all say the Same thing But, I am with you, They should go into 4x4 without that Clunk for as much as we pay for them.

SOURCE: chevrolet truck 4wd switch blinks

If they are blinking I believe it means that there are fault codes present in the pcm. You need to get the computer scaned to see if there are an codes present. If you live near an Autozone or Checker autoparts they can scan it for free.

My 2005 Mazda MPV is skipping. It has been tested and found that cylinder 3 is causing the problem. Can cylinder 3 be changed with out changing the others?

If you have individual ignition coils (COP Ignition)
you can change any coil that you want & you don't
need a repair shop

Buy them from Rock Auto.Com
cheaper than auto parts store & you
get to choose your brand & price

If the PO300 codes are wrong just put back the
#3 coil & walk the new one until you find the bad one

Codes don't tell you what is wrong
That said PO 300 cylinder codes are
okey sometimes,other times you need
professional software to look at cylinder
misfire counts & then sometimes just walk
the new one.

The car has to be driven for a coil to break down
It has to get hot & go 29 miles if bad & sometimes
only act up once every 2 weeks with no rhime or reason

Engine stall when warm

It sounds as though you need to take the
car to a repair shop & start almost anywhere
& just go thru the entire engine & all it's systems

I can not imply what you do or don't do, in the way of
vehicle maintenance, but you need to have every possible
check & test done & get caught up

After the fact, i bet you don't have much wrong, other than
driving it, until it acts up vs: being proactive & looking for problems

I cannot start. Has been acting up and missing somewhat lately but after sitting for 7/8 days it just spins. No attempt to start.

Check Fuel Pressure -- at the schrader valve on engine
fuel rail -- with a gauge 38 to 42 lbs approx

Listen by the fuel tank-- for the pump to come on,have someone
cycle the key on & off

Checking Spark will be a challenge if you have individual coils
Checking the Crank Sensor also an issue checking

Do not throw parts at it

Check for codes if you have a MIL Lamp lite on dash

Acting up lately & possibly missing ,troubles me, because
that is unacceptable with my vehicles. I don't go an hour
& I get a start on those type issues, unless it is raining or
lots of snow coming down

I don't see the no start connected to other issues, unless
you have an ignition module vs: cop coils & it is dead

My 2002 Grand Prix sounds fine upon starting. When I get to 45 mph, it starts to sound as if it's working harder. It's like a loud hum starts and gets louder as it goes up to 60 mph. As I decrease...

Front Wheel Bearing Hub

You will have to remove the brake calipers, hang it,&
remove the rotor, then you can turn the hub & feel the
roughness.

ROCK AUTO.com for parts & look at that hub, so you
match it up the same. Don't get in love with one brand
you like, if the hub looks different at the back where the
speed sensor goes in

You also may find your self buying a torx socket or metric
socket driver to get the speed sensor out. Maybe not

If tools are needed,do yourself a favor & step inside a Snap-On
Truck & just buy one item or so. If you don't ,you won't find those
items anywhere

I have a 1996 Plymouth Breeze... That won't start,

Hi, this sounds like a bad fuel pump. I would have the fuel pressure checked. Sometimes Autozone will let you borrow a fuel pressure gauge to check your fuel pressure. Just unscrew the cover from the pressure port on the fuel rail and screw on the pressure gauge. Put a rag over your hand while screwing it on to avoid getting fuel sprayed around. Lay the gauge in a safe place and start the car. Read the gauge, record the reading, turn the car off and remove the gauge. If the pressure is less than 35 psi, you need a new fuel pump. Please let me know if you have questions, and thanks for using FixYa.
