Question about 1998 Chevrolet K1500
Its getting spark, the fuel pump is working, changed fuel filter, changed plugs, topped off battery with my battery tender. About 2 months ago my key became stuck and would not turn, after getting the key unstuck, a few times the only way it would start was poping the key on and off quickly, not leaving in the cranking position long. Could this problem that also caused the car to die while running be and ingition problem?
Yes If You Have To Many Keys On Your Key Ring Your Ignition Can Go Bad Fairly Quick. A Normal Sign Of Your Ignition Going Bad Is Shutting Off While Driving. You May Want To Try Changing Your Ignition Yourself As It Is Extremely Expensive To Have A Dealer Match The Keys And Everything. But If You Don't Wanna Deal With Having A Different Door Key Then The Ignition Key Then Pay The Extra Money.
