SOURCE: Possible solution to engine overheating

So if you cant find it, how do you know its bad? The relays are on the RF fender, above the wheel, under the hood. The electrical diagrams lists 3 relays. They are all powered by the ENG fuse and its a 15 amp fuse. The fan is powered by the COOLING FAN fuse 30 amps. Power to the fan motor is on a BLUE/BLACK, BLUE/YELLOW and BLUE/RED wires, of course the BLACK wire is ground. Its a 2 speed fan. I would check for power to the fan motor first as with a car this old, the fan motor is usually worn out. If it does have power to it,m rap on the moto,r if it attempts to wrok, the motor is worn out.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the help. Went to another web site where I saw symptoms the same as mine. In more than one instance they replace the cooling fan relay."

I need a copy of diagram for the fan cooling system for a lincoln ls 2002 - 3.0 or do the fan have an electrical part in the fan housing

You need a factory workshop manual, for diagrams. You can not get those on the internet or free. Avail at ( Helm.Com )
Discribe the issues, and I'll look it up in my 2004 manuals, wiring diagrams and diagnostic service manuals

2002 Sentra, ac/heather electrical problems

most likely you have a blend air door cable that has either been broken, disconnected or stripped out. there are blend doors that control the direction of air flow, and another one that controls temprature. look fr a cable coming from the back of the unit, or if it is a electric then you will have to trace wires. the temp door should be in the rea behind thee glove box.

When should the radiator fans be running? They only seem to run when I put the A/C on. Should they run at other times? I have a Nissan Sentra 2002 GXE.

One fan should be on once the coolant temp hits a preset number, I believe it may be 205 for teh Sentra. The second fan kicks in once the AC is on.
