My wipers blades will not function. Checked fuse already

There was snow and ice buildup on my windshield this morning. The wipers worked through it but then stopped mid motion. They will not work now.

It turns out in the electrical component of the wiper motor there was a cracked connection on the ground.  Not sure if that is a technically correct way of explaining it but after soldering the connection and resealing the motor, it worked! Thank you for trying to help me though.

Sounds like the motors burnt out due to the excess friction on the windshield

What would cause wipers to just stop working?

You'd have to grab the volt meter but you may have burned wiper motor out. The motor isn't made to clear snow from the windshield in any great amount so the harder it has to work to move the more chance you'll have of burning it out. Did you check the fuses under the hood of the car as well as inside the car??

My front wiper blades just stopped working its 10 degrees out and 10 inches of snow I hear the motor wanting to go what can I do??? Help

First, scrape the ice and snow off the windshield and make sure that the wipers are not frozen onto the glass. Never use the wipers until you have cleaned off the windshield.

Windshield wipers stopped working with heavy snow cover

The windshield wiper circuit has an circuit breaker in it, under heavy load this breaker trips to protect the wiper motor, when the motor cools, the breaker resets automatically restoring proper wiper action.

After a heavy snowfall, I turned on the windshield wipers and now they don't work.Yes I had heavy snow on the windshield

Check for a blown fuse. With the heavy snow, the blades probably were prevented from moving which would have caused the wiper motor to overheat and blow a fuse.

This morning after heavy snow and frost my wipers on my 1998 proton persona don,t work

WIPER BLADES MORE LIKELY FROZEN STUCK. OR HAVE A LOT OF SNOW ON THEM. YOU HAVE TO CAREFULLY REMOVE SNOW OR ICE TO FREE WIPER BLADES THEN THEY WILL WORK AGAIN.

Windshield wiper on car iced up during snow/driving could not see

You can usually avoid that by using a good quality winter mix washer fluid that resists freezing, making sure the wipers are cleared of ice before beginning the drive and using the defroster to keep the windshield warm. In extreme conditions you just need to pull over and manually clean the ice off by hand.(only do that where it's safe). There are also specially designed wiper blades that will also help a bit.

Front wipers stopped working but you can hear the motor run also

If the wipers were buried under snow/ice or frozen to the windshield, you may have blown the red 10 amp fuse located in cavity 9 in the fuse block located on the bottom left side of the instrument panel near the parking brake pedal.
In order of easiest to check:
1) ensure wipers not frozen to windshield.
2) ensure wiper arms are not loose on the pivot stud,
3) check the red 10 amp fuse.
You stated that "you can hear the motor". Which motor do you hear? The engine or the wiper motor?
If you hear the wiper motor, then the fuse is alright. Try 1) and 2) above.
