08 Town and Country front defrost issues

Just wondering if there are any others out there having issues with the 08 Town and Country being able to keep the front windshield clear? The defrost on this new van is working terrible for me. Any others having the same issue?

I am having this problem with my 2005 Town & Country. Where can I buy one of these Flashes and can I fix it myself? The blower is working and the air only comes out of the front vents. If we turn it on defrost or on the feet it still only comes out of the front vents. Help!!!

After calling the dealership who told me that it would either be a simple reprograming for $95 or replace something for $500 I called my local mecahanic. He told me to pull off the negative battery cable for about 20 minutes then reconnect it and see if the defogger will work. He is a genius, I would have been pissed to pay my dealership $95 to pull off a cable for a few minutes. There is truely no dollar amount you can put on knowing a good mechanic that is always available to give free advice.

On a 08 town and country van why do the headlights go out as you're driving

Sounds like a short some where. Vehicles are made so if the lights have a short they will go out and back on for a few seconds for safety getting off the road. They come on to stay when it cools down then goes out when it heats up.

Town and counrty front right signal light flashing faster, rear light stop flashing

the signal indicator lights are suppose to flash in perticular time interval which is connected to a timer relay when the light flashes faster that means the other light is not working and the relay is getting double the current and moving faster so check the other light either the bulb is fuse or the current is not reaching up to the bulb

2003 chrysler town and country.....air is not blowing in front vents or defrost..checked blower, fuse, and relay all are o.k.

Some of these use the vacuum to operate the flaps that direct the air, check for the small black pipe that comes from the top of the motor.

When I turn my heat/air OFF, my defrost blows on high.

Most likely the control head is malfunctioning, defrost is default for safety.

The control head is the actuall unit where the buttons are. Try, for used replacement. Easy to replace, if You can remove the surrounding plastic bezel (clip fasteners) to get to the screws that hold it in place.

I am assuming that Your Town & Country has automatic climate control.

Remember that I am taking an educated guess here, as the van is not in front of me, good luck.

Blower motor does not operate, front defrosters not blowin

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the glove box from the instrument panel
  3. Disconnect the two wire harness connectors from the front blower motor resistor.
  4. Remove the two screws that secure the front blower motor resistor to the front HVAC housing and remove the resistor. 815198ec.gif

Front vents will not work

If they are stuck on defrost, then the problem is a little vaccum line that comes through the firewall as all the climate controls are vaccum controlled,so look for a small green or black plastic line unhooked.
