You will be looking at 5.2 to 5.5 hours according to chilton labor guide. The gaskets will run between $250 and $350. Depending what gaskets you need. Mike

How much will it cost to repair a leaking head gasket on a 2000 ford focus se?

Header gaskets are fairly expensive to replace. It depends on the labor rates of the repair facility. I would try to find a local community college that has an automotive degree program. Usually they will charge much less for the fix (to help students learn) than a garage. If that isn't an option I would replace the head gasket and not the whole engine. Of course, if there is other damaged caused by the leaky gasket that is another story. There is a lot of labor involved with replacing a header gasket. I would say anywhere from $500 to $1000 anyway. Hope this helps.

Water in spark plugs

Is the plug really clean? That usually means the cylinder head gasket failed. You would need to remove the cylinder head. (valve cover, intake manifold, timing belt/chain) clean off the mating sufaces, inspect mating sufaces for truness, possibly have them machined, install new head gasket, bolt down head to correct tourque, reinstall timing belt/chain, intake manifold, (install all new gaskets) and valve cover. It's a lot harder than it sounds, usually. Call at least 4 local mechs for a quote to replace head gasket on your car. Just a gasket kit alone could cost 90 to 300 bucks depending on your model. This is a major job. Google head gasket and your model and year , you may fiind youtube videos for you exact model or similar.

I am finding oil in the radiator.

This almost always means a bad head gasket or a cracked head/block, unless you are a mechanic this isn't something you are going to be able to fix yourself and is likely more costly to repair than the car is worth.

Blow head gasket

Hi, the head gasket is located between the engine block and the head, which is the part that covers the pistons and usually holds the spark plugs. depending on where the gasket blew you will be leaking oil and or radiator fluid out of or into the engine. repair cost would depend on make, model, and mechanic doing the work. the gasket itself will be the cheapest part of the total repair.
The gasket itself is cheap , the expensive part is the labor.

For a mechanic to replace it will cost at least $500 because there is a lot of work involved and a lot of other parts and gaskets are removed to get the cylinder off. It is made of various materials and depending on what materials it is made out of determines the cost.

Oil is milky.

Coolant is mixing with the oil, so it is turning milky. The most possible problem is an cracked cylinder head or head gasket.Check them and get it replaced before it damages the engine worsly.. Dain the oil and have it refilled after replacing then broken part.

Salvage engines usually cost about $800, and they often will do installation for about $400.

But if it is not an oil burner, you can usually get a head gasket fixed for about $500.
