SOURCE: y windsheild wipers don't move. I hear the

Possible stripped gears or the gears are not making contact.  I would replace the wiper motor.  If you can, and I am not sure, you might be able to replace just the gears.  But given how new the car is, I am sure it comes as an "all in one" unit.  It is possible to seatch www.car-part.com and see if there is a salvage yard around your area that has one cheap.

SOURCE: windshield wiper not moving.motor works.

open the hood and at the base of the wiper arm is a little balck cap, remove this cap and under it is a nut. this nut holds the wiper arm tight onto a spline. check to see if the nut has backed off or needs to be tightened. if not remove the nut and take off the wipers, the black cowel (at the bottom of the windshield) is held on with three plugs.(one in the middle and one on each end.) and one large plug below the passanger wiper blade. the wiper assembly and motor is under this cowel.
hope this helps

SOURCE: Wipers not moving but you

Either the motor is bad, or the ball joints for the arms that move as the motor turns are disconnected underneath the hood/ventilation firewall area.

SOURCE: the wiper motor works but the wipers don't

It would appear the gears inside the wiper motor itself have worn out. A new/different wiper motor will be required.

SOURCE: wiper motor is turning but arms aren't moving

Go to GM Parts counter at your GM dealer and ask the parts guy to look up related parts for your wiper setup. Their guidance will get you on your way. (Probably just a small clip has come off and needs to be replaced.)

2001 expedition rear wiper and washer doesn't work

The rear wiper motor assembly may be defective/seized. You can try turning on the rear wiper and moving the wiper arm with your hand to see if it will move even a little bit. If you can coax it to move, the wiper motor is bad and needs replacement. If it doesn't move, you will have to disassemble the rear hatch panels and test the motor directly for power and ground.

I have a 97 grand prix, when I turn on the wipers I can hear the motor but wipers don't move. .. what could be the problem

if the motor is moving but the wipers are not, check the linkage in between. remove the cowl if you need to. you may have just become unhooked.

My windshield wipers wont work.

It Sounds Like, Either The Arms Are Loose ,If You Can Hear Something Moving Behind The Dash,
Or The Linkages Are Seized ,If The Motor Just Hums No Movement Heard,In Which Case Try Spraying Q 20 On The Linkage And Try Moving The Wiper Arms By Hand To Get It Going Again,
If Not The Motor May Just Be Burn;t Out.

2004 tundra windshield wipers don't move but motor runs

If both wiper arms move, the linkage between them probably is OK. What isn't OK is the connection between the arms and the motor. You will have to get access to the motor area to find out what needs repair

Windshield wipers don't move, but hear motor running

check the nuts on the wiper arms and make sure they are tight. If the nuts are tight then a linkage on the wiper transmission probably came loose or broke. You'll have to pull some cowling off to access it.

The windshield wipers to my Ford focus stopped working today. They worked for a little while & then stopped in the up position. You can hear the motor working but they don't move. You can move them...

Your wiper linkage has come off the wiper motor. To reconnect the linkage, first remove the wiped arms, the remove the wiped cowl. The wiper cowl bolts are located under the hood and screws through the spaces in the cowl. Reconnect linkage, reinstall cowl, reinstall wiped arms.

either linkage broke/ jammed or motor is stuck -makin noise but not movin open hood and with wiper on feel motor- its on firewall-for movement if moving turn off motor now try to move wipers if move freely than they are broken off or have disconnected from the motor need to remove the cowl to access the wipers linkages
