Hello guys I need some advise please. I have a VW Caddy 2005 tdi diesel non turbo. The battery is fully charged and when I start the engine it turns very slow as if the battery is not charged.

if a car battery turns slow, and is charged
the battery is bad. (eol end of life)
to prove that is easy,
charge the battery fully , then load test it (a tool)
all cars shop and most auto stores do the test or free (carried in)
or jumper cable start the car if this works the battery in car dead is bad. if not, the problem is more complex.

Our van won't start. Dash lights turn on but the ignition only makes a click noise and the engine does not turn over..

It sounds as if you have a loose battery connection. Check the battery cable for tightness and clean any corrosion with baking soda and water. The battery may be weak as well if the cables were not tight it would not charge properly.

Can a battery read 12volts when engine doesn't start and if lights get turned on voltage drops to 3 volts does this mean the battery is no good

Your battery is definately suspect.Give it a good charge and check it again. If it drops like that when you turn on the lights replace it.A fully charged battery in good condition will read about 14.2V when fully charged. When you turn the key to start it will drop to about 11 and come back up when you turn the key off.

I can't start the engine. The battery is almost fully charged. I need to turn the key for about 3 or more times to start the engine.

If you turn key to START position, what is the sound, is it;
1. no sound at all means maybe starter problem.
2. only heard Tik sound means starter problem (you can add relay but it will still happen in future)
3. crank sound but not start means battery weak.

You can also try to move gearshift to N instead of at P position before turn key to START. if it work mean your car safety switch at gearbox not know which gear you're on.

2001 bmw ci convertible will not start. i hear clicking noise but will not turn the engine. battery is fully charged.

if the battery is fully charged, one on of a few things could be wrong. Bad solenoid, bad starter, or engine siezed. First two would probally only be around a $70 part.

If the battery is fully charge, yes, the starter assembly is worn out, replace starter assembly.

Turn the ignition and the engine barely cranks

You could have a starter that draws too much amperage or a bad ground. Check your grounds at the battery cables and check that the battery is fully charged. You may have an alternator problem. If the battery is fully charged check the starting and charging systems and that will tell you your problem.

I have a 2003 dodge durango v8 and the motor will not start. When I turn the key the engine makes no sound at all. The lights in the interior work, as well as the keyless entry. Is this a battery problem...

The problem is most likely the starter, but you should ensure that the battery is fully charged before proceeding. The battery doesn't need to be fully charged to run just about all the interior lights and the head lights, but attempting to crank the engine is a large current draw, and can drop voltage quickly on a partially discharged battery.

If the battery is fully charged, continue to checking the starter.
