SOURCE: 1997 Audi A8 Will not start after disconnecting battery

You may have a DBW (drive by wire) car. If so, reconnect the battery and then turn the key on (don't start the car though). Do this with the hood open. Turn the key and then see if you have a high-pitched whining hum from the engine bay. If so, that's likely the throttle body readjusting its position. This can make a big difference in driveability, and is worth a shot. If the 97 didn't have DBW, you won't harm anything in trying it out.

SOURCE: Audi TT fuse box

It is in the end of the dash board. open the drivers door so you can see the end of the dash and ease the semi circle shaped cover off. There is a fuse pulling tool in there too ;o

SOURCE: water leaking in my audi a8

There should be a drain hole or tube that leads out of the car. Find it and clean it out. (wet/dry shop vac?)
Don't poke too sharp of things into it, or you might damage something, though.

SOURCE: 2005 Audi TT Master Fuse location

Had a similar problem audi come into my shop.  No headlights, blower motor would not work, wipers would not work.  After dinking around found ignition switch wires had burn't up.  Remove top steering column by taking out two very small philips screws from under column.  Look at top LH side of column w/ top cover removed.  Probably will find wires burnt up.

Where's the positive terminal on the 1997 audi a8. My battery is no longer working and I need to charge battery to get open trunk

If you look at the engine area you will see the postive jump point, let me see if i can locate a picture of this location.heres a diagram of the engine compartment, theres a fuse /relay box in the left rear, this is if you are standing in the front of the car looking in engine compartment, look for a terminal to connect the postive cable and ground the other to metal in the engine compartment, this is only to be used to acess the truck to get to battery, also look around the engine most times theres a postive hook up sometimes neear or on motor, good day,johnjohn2_115.gif

Hi i have a audi a8 2.8 v6 petrol and i cant seem to find the fuse box and i also have looked under the passenger side footwell but still no luck

On a 1997-2002 A8 the fuse box is in the passenger side footwell. There is a small knob that must be unscrewed and the carpeted panel must be removed to reveal the fuse box.

Were is my fuse box for my radio speakers on my 97 audi a8

Well there is a fuse panel above the battery compartment (left rear of trunk) that removes with a finger twistable lever. In that compartment are some spade fuses and one maxi fuse. I DONT know if they are for the stereo speakers or not.

Both the GPS and the radio went dead at the same time. Both units are placed in the booth. I have checked the circute brakers with no luck. Is there any CB on the units themself. My car is an Audi S8 -97...

CB units, i would not know. But it sound to me like you got a blown fuse. A fuse like that could be either in the fuse box, or the relay box under the hood. So check and make sure all your fuses are in good working condition.

The glove box on my 1997 Audi A8 won't open.

Behind the glovebox there is a short length of cable that you pull down to release the door manually, you have to really feel around for it but it is there.
