SOURCE: how to adjust halogen headlights on bmw z4

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.

You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam (separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal adjustment screws as well

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.

the FSM book covers this. (buy one?)

Check with one of those European auto importers. It will cost you, but I know they do some high end vehicles that were LHD.

Wiring harness 1993 jeep cherokee headlights

Melted wires indicate a heavy load or a short circuit.
If you're having no other issues and the headlights work, it'll most likely just be a heavy load.
Speculation here, but being a Jeep it may very well be running the full headlight circuit load through the switch instead of utilising a relay system to reduce switch load.
Incorporating a couple of relays may solve your underlying issue.
To fix the contact issue you currently have with the wire, you may need to replace the plug. It depends what's actually wrong with the wire and connector it's attached to. Sandpaper, a file or an Emery board can improve electrical contact on the plug surface, but if the problem is the wire, it may need to be soldered or shortened, or the plug replaced.

LHD vs RHD parts:
Most LHD switchgear will fit a RHD model of the same car. It's mainly mechanical items and trim that differentiate a RHD and LHD car.
So if you know what you're ordering, there's no reason you can't buy the LHD part.
The headlight switch and plug are good examples of this.

2003 jeep grand cherokee lhd headlight adjusment for driving in UK

i believe yours is rhd that is why you are asking this. if you have no HID modern xenon lights ( probably you dont on WJ), you need to get a black tape and mask the upper 1/3 of your head lights to remove the V marking of light on road. ( which is to illuminate the right side of road) by this way you wont blinding incoming traffic.

Correct headlight adjustment

You will need to park the vehicle on a level groung facing a flat wall about 12-15 feet behind.
Now use the setttings to set the bright light just below the headlamp straight vision and the dip to fall flat onthe ground.
There arre different settings for LHD and RHD.
Present vehicles have headlight height correction so as to postion when the vehicle is loaded ( behind) causing a upward lift in the front changing the focus.

LHD to RHD Beam Bender

The lights can be adjusted manually with adjusters on the back of the headlight nacelle. You can ask the MOT Test Station to do it for you before the test as they project it onto a board or into a viewfinder. The other way would be to purchase new RHD headlight units, perhaps from a scrap yard. My first car in the UK was a 1959 Volkwagon Beetle LHD that was originally registered in Austria. I re-registed it as FAR 120K. People were puzzled that it was LHD, Brand New, and why it had 140 (kph) on the speedometer. :>)

RHD to LHD conversion

A company called Flying Spares in Warwickshire will be able to supply all the parts. I'm not sure if the steering box is part of the subframe assembly on these models, if it is, you'll need a new subframe setup & new stering box, but the rack is reversible I think and the steering column isn't a problem. 01455 292 959.
