Question about Cars & Trucks
Battery was going flat over night so i did an amp test and discovered a drain of 0.73 with everything shutdown and all doors locked, then i pulled fuses and discovered that fuse 13 which protects ignition lock and instrument cluster, so i disconnected ignition lock which is electronic and the drain was still there, which leaves the cluster as the problem, when the whole system is shut down the cluster seems to go to sleep , but according to the amp test it still drawing too much , because it has to keep clock and other information at hand so to speak, i think 50 milli amps would be stable enough of a drain , but the extra 23 m-amps is draining the battery overnight, So my question is , would the can-bus be responsible

The Module in the Drivers Door is notorius for this problem. I would start by changing that first. Good luck to you. Thanks for using fixya!

how long did you let it sit before you checked the ecu as some computers can take up to 5-10minutes to power down.another thing did you make sure everything was turned of and unplugged and all doors closed, have seen some people think everything was off only to find out they forgot something.have you checked the wreckers for a used one,if you write down the ecu number that is on it they may be able to match it up with one they have for less money.
