There may be a few reasons for this - just check them all in turn.

  1. Low coolant - Check your expansion bottle.
  2. Airlock in heater matrix - Can you hear trickling water sometimes, have you changed the coolant or had to top-up? - Bleed the air out through bleed valve or loosen a hose while engine is running.
  3. Faulty heater valve. This can actually be the link to control the heater valve rather than the valve itself. - How does the hot/ cold switch feel? - is it very loose ? Sometimes the valve gets stiff, and the next time it is moved, the control wire snaps. Often the valve needs replacing and the broken link to cure it. Not a major expense - just fiddly to do.
  4. Blocked heater matrix - from using radweld or similar quick-fixes. Replacement is better than flushing.

I have a 2001 silverado 5.3l 4x4. My heater blows warm air sometimes and then blows cold air. My thermostat stays at a steady 200 degrees when warmed up. I filled my coolant and didn't have any leaks, does...

Sounds like air in the cooling system. Try taking radiator cap off and letting the vehicle run with heater on high. As bubbles come out add coolant. This may take 20 minutes to a half hour.

96 Bronco...Heater is blowing cold air....fan is blowing ...but it is cold...any ideas?

Sounds like the thermstat may be installed wrong or stuck open. If your engine temp is low (on the dash) then this is the case. If the engine is running at a normal temp, then you hear core is full of crap, and will need to be replaced.

2000 NISSAN 4X4 P/U A/C SYSTEM WILL BLOW COLD WHEN OUTSIDE AIR TEMP IS COOL, WHEN HOT OUTSIDE AIR BLOWS HOT.

your auxillary fan is not working. this fan is responsible for cooling the freon that is being circulated in your cooling system... check if there are any loose wires in front of the engine bay.

the auxillary fan is located right beside your radiator fan.

Why will my 1985 Ford Bronco heater not heat up?

well it might be you engions not heating you see the heater draws heat from the ingion but if the thermistat is stuck open then the engion will stay cold and the heater will only blow cold air

My heater stopped working. is there a relay switch that might of went bad? fuse good, fan good also.

Kinda sounds like you have a clogged heater core, if the fan is working but it is blowing cold air that is normally either the coolant is to low or the heater core is clogged.

1999 Dodge Dakota heater does not blow hot air.

It is most likely a closed or mostly closed thermostat, cheap fix and very common.
