Question about Renault Cars & Trucks

1 Answer

I have a 2005 Renault Modus 1.4 16v that is not starting. The starter doesnt even engage. There are a bunch of other weird faults too.

The starter doesnt even engage. There are a bunch of other weird faults too: Front window wipers are not working (the rear does), electric windows are not working, the blower fan only works on 1/2/3 but not 4 and the immobiliser light, airbag light, seatbelt light and spanner light are all staying on. I have checked all the fuses and cannot find any to be blown.

I think you should check the wiring and grounds. These many problems all at same time happens due to wiring only.

SOURCE: Airbag light remains on after changing fuse of rear wiper.VW POLO

This is a common occurance in vw's.
In order to turn off the airbag light you need to have a scan tool hooked up to your car because the airbag detected a fault of some sort, or it could be a faulty component in the airbag system itself.

SOURCE: I have a1992 ford explorer the front and rear wipers quit workin

check for power at the wiper motor. If power at the wiper motor but no wiper action then replace the motor. if no power at the motor then use a jumper wire and put power to the motor. Does motor run? if so check for open circuit in the wire someplace.

under the dash board on the left side of the steering column is the front electronic control module.
(oem #1F2Z13C788CA- most common # $ 600.00 RETAIL). All affected circuits run through this module. There are five primary power feeds and equal number of grounds. Any one could cause yopur problem or module (known to fail) could be n/g. Best solution is to refer do dealer or qualified tech for pin trace. For do it yourself you will need wiring schematics. make sure the back window is all the way up then try the wiper, if it still does not work then it is a sensor for the rear window (about $30.00) if you installed it yourself

First, make sure that you are using a seperate switch to activate the rear wiper fluid than you are for the front.

You activate the front window fluid by pulling the lever toward you, while you activate the rear window fluid by twisting the end of the lever all the way up or down as far as it will go (It will return from these positions automatically). If it still doesn't work, you should have someone stand at the back of the vehicle when you activate it to make sure they hear the sound of the washer fluid pump working (key must be in on position for this test).

If it is, check to make sure the nozzle is not clogged. Also make sure that it's not leaking out of the back door due to the hose inside the door becoming disconnected.

If it's not working, then your rear pump motor is burned out and needs to be replaced.

Hope this helps!

Rear window washer does not spray fluid. When I push the rear window washer button, the front washer/wipers turn on. The rear wipers work normally.

I have the same problem with my 2000 chevy blazer as skornec had posted. I kinda already figured the hose or spray nozzle was plugged. But the problem with checking those items is that I don't know where the hose is located to the back wiper. And the only thing that could be I see that could be the spray nozzle doesn't even have holes that washer fluid could spray from. So basically I just would LOVE if someone could please inform this lame brain of where to find the spray nozzle on the rear window and where in the interior of my blazer does the washer hose run.
