There are two temperature sensors on many engines. One is for the radiator fan control, the other for the interior temperature gauge.

Position of the rotor at tdc on 86 jaguar xjs v12

The TDC Sensor on the XJS is in the front of the car -under- the crank (main) pulley. The Speed Sensor is under the car attached to the flywheel cover. Two wires, two small bolts on each, they are also identical parts. The engine starting or not starting and just cranking is dependent on these two sensors. The other sensors all send readings only when the engine is running. The Coolant Temp Sensor on the front top of engine block can seriously effect engine starting and running. All sensors wire back to the CPU, all sensors need to be working and not faulty.

I recently bought a 02 320D and the outside tempeture is reading -40 degrees.I also notice that the fan is constantly on but the tempeture gauge does not show the car as overheating....Any idea's what the...

-40 is a default # that means the temp sensor in front of the vehicle is broken out ushally or going over a curb and people pull them out and brake them then the plastic cover rubs on the wheel when driving. check the splash shields for damage i.e. plastic wheel well covers just infront of both front wheels if loose or missing the temp sensor is attached to them if missing probably will need to also do a wire repair for the conection to the sensor

Oil filter location?

the oil filter is on top of the engine bay, it is under a plastic screw on cover towards the drivers side front of the engine next to the intake manifold, if there is a cover on the engine you might need to take it off to see it, the filter clips on to the back plastic screw on cover. it requires a large socket size to remove.

03 cavalier 2.2l,engine and trac light on the fan is on, the car starts but has no power, and its running rich,i changed the plugs, fuel filter, what sensor could be doing all of this bs?It just started to do...

You need to scan for the code but there is a sensor on the side of the intake next to air intake under the black plastic intake that goes to the air filter that causes this issue.
Easy to change. 1 Torx srew. Remove the plastic intake cover with a flat screw driver and you will see 2 sensors. It's the one closest to the front of the car or closest to the rad. Right beside the throttle intake on the engine. Right side of intake .
Good luck. I have changed at least 10 on these in the past month.

P0134 Error

The front o2 sensor is located atop the exhaust manifold at the back of the engine. If you jack up the car and support it properly then get under the car you will see two small wiring harnesses coming out of a black plastic box in the center of the car next to the exhaust pipe. One of those wires leads to the rear o2 sensor, the other to the front o2 sensor that you want. You will need to unclip the wire in several places and unhook it from the connector under the black cover before you remove it from the manifold.
