SOURCE: Oil leaks from the oil filter adapter

If it is not the suggested gasket that is leaking then it is the oil pressure switch located exactly above the oil filter adapter. The black plastic housing could have developed a crack and oil will ooze downward and drip off the bottom of the adapter. I had this problem and changing the oil pressure switch took care of it.

SOURCE: lost engine oil: 2002 Ford F150 Supercrew 4x4 5.4l engine

This is certainly one of the strangest things I have ever heard as a mechanic. . This almost sounds like some one is playing a game of letting your oil out this vehicle. With no visible leaks no burning smell of oil. However I would recommend that you check the coolant in the radiator and see if the oil is in the coolant. (If they are mixing together) If they are mixing the coolant should have a milky look to it, creamish white. If its good then the only other logical explanation is that the vehicle i s burning alot of oil, but if that was true you would see a grayish blue smoke from tail pipe. If you are 100% sure they are no oil leaks on this vehicle, then this problem is surely strange. Check coolant and get back to me. Good Luck

Check all of your vacume lines. If it isn't a vacume line it is most likely the O2 sensor.

SOURCE: 2001 ford f150 supercrew 4x4......4 wheel drive

There is a special sequence for that. Let me see if I can remember... Pull to a level surface, put the parking barake on, put the truck in neutral, shift to four-wheel drive, release the brake, shift to drive.

The computer waits for this sequence. It has been many years since I did this. If it doesnt work, call your dealer shop and they will tell you the correct sequence.

SOURCE: ford f150 2001 supercrew cab

This vehicle sunroof can travel past its open point and gets stuck. you can lower the headliner and insert an hex key and crank the glass forward one inch then it will work again. Just don't let it go to far open or it can get stuck again. Also check the drain tray to make sure it is not out of place, if so you need new guides.

do not use starting fluid. pull the line off from the fuel filter (line comming from the tank). put the line in a bucket and have someone turn the key a few times. if there is good flow replace the fuel filter, if not replace the fuel pump

Is there a seal that i need to replace if i remove the front driveshaft on a 2001 ford f150 supercrew

There is a seal in the back of the transmission where the driveshaft goes into the transmission. If it isn't leaking it doesn't have to be replaced. You may want to replace it as a preventative measure but you will need to be able to pull it out and have the proper seal driver to install the new one.

Were is the cabin air filter located in a F150 supercrew 2001?

Behind the glove box on the passenger side. There are 2 ( or 4?? ) screws that hold the cover on.

Some just lay on the floor, others will drop the glove box ( open, and push in the stops to let the box drop all the way down ) to see what you are doing from above.

Ve a 2001 F150 that keeps losing oil pressure

could be but have you actually check the oil pressure

The oil pressure gauge on your dash is really just an warning light and you are not really looking at real oil pressure

Therefore you could have an electrical issue, mainly high resistance in the sender circuit that make the gauge read lower than actual

My 2001 ford F150 is leaking water from above the trans

First off, is this water or antifreeze? If it's water it could be coming from the heat/air conditioning. If it's antifreeze, it's probably either a heater hose or the back of the intake manifold.

Where is the oil pressure switch on a 2001 f150 5.4L engine (supercrew) does anyone have a picture or diagram how to find it? When oil pressure gauge drops to zero and light comes on until engine warms up....

Left ( driver's side ) front of the engine on the 5.4L engine.

This is shown to be at the end of the baffled area of the intake, the edge of the pleated area farthest from the airfilter ( looking at the engine, the left side of the pleated folds ).
When you locate this, look down the front of the engine.

The connector is a black 1 pin connector with a White w/ Red Stripe wire to it.

You might have to remove the factory air intake plastic housing to see it.
