Question about 2003 Ford Expedition
Check power to the solenoid on the top of the starter motor when cranking. If power is available, and if the solenoid isn't clicking (operating), then replace solenoid. There is no relay for this.

Under the hood on the passenger fire wall you will see the starter solenoid.Unplug the small wire running to it and see if your problem goes away.If it does problem is ignition switch if it does not then tap the solenoid and see if it quits.If this takes care of it then solenoid is bad.

Located in the left front corner of the engine compartment,,mounted vertically between the drivers headlamp and radiator ..it's the large relay right across from the a/c circuit diode
