Pull the oil pan and check the oil screen first. It may be plugged up

Sorry to say, but oil sending unit has nothing to do with oil pressure. Best case scenario for low oil pressure would be you need an oil and filter change. Better case scenario would be you need to drop oil pan and clean screen on bottom of the oil pump. Worse case scenario would be due to excessive miles on engine which causes wear on compression rings and/or crank shaft bearings where oil pressure originates from. It might be good to have a compression test done on all cylinders by a certified mechanic or at least someone who knows what they're doing. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
