SOURCE: Brake line burst 1999 ford expedition

Which brake line are you talking about?. The metal steel ones,or the rubber ones. Doesn't matter. If you are buying the rubber ones, then just ask for them by year and model of truck.

If you are working with the steel ones, they are either going to be 5/16 or 1/4 depending which line it is. the 5/16 ones are usually attached to the master cylinder or the ABS unit. The fittings sometimes if you don't find the right one have to be re used, in which case you will need to flare the tubing. (Double Flare) Or you can go to the dealer, pay an arm and a leg, but you don't have to flare the tubing, which takes the fun out of the job.

Air bag pump is running, new airbags . rear bags wont air up.

These Lincoln air suspensions are terrible. I have converted many over to coil springs at a fraction of the cost of replacing/repairing the bags. If the rear bags don't inflate, there is a broken air line to the bags or the bags are leaking

I have a 2002 Ford Expedition and the brake light will not turn off. We do not use the e-brake. can anyone help with this problem?

Your stop light switch has failed. This is the switch operated every time you operate the brake
pedal. This switch fails in one of two ways - always open (brakes lights don't work), or always
closed (brake lights won't turn off).

To replace a stoplight switch, first determine what type of switch you have.

If you have an electrical switch mounted to the brake pedal in the passenger compartment:

* Unplug the wire connector at the back of the switch.
* Unscrew the switch.
* Replace with a new switch. Adjust the adjustment nut as needed.
* Plug the wires back in.

If you have a hydraulic pressure switch that is mounted in the brake master cylinder:

* Mark and disconnect the wires.
* Unscrew the switch.
* Screw the replacement switch in.
* Reconnect the wires.

My 2002 ford expedition rear heat only blows cold air

check for sufficient coolant in rad . fill as necesary then look for the two lines that are running to the rear heatercore. their should be an assembly that allows the coolant to flow and restricts it make sure that it is free of any obstructions and functioning properly. replace as necesary. for a temperary fix you could plumb in a peice of tubing from a hardware store that allows coolant to allways flow to the rear heater core. only problem with that is it is always on max heat!!!

Rear A/C blows hot air instead of cold on a 2002 ford expedition

The most common part that fails is the temperature actuator. It is located on the right rear of the suv. The trim panel has to be accessed to replace the actuator.

Accessing the rear hatch brake light on a 1999 Ford Expedition

There should be 2 screws holding the lenses on for the hatch light, remove those and cover comes off. The plate lights, access them under the rear bumper, they twist and pull out, then just pull the bulb out the connector. The running board light, under board, which will take the light assembly out, or a small flat head screwdriver, pop the lens off the top of board.

YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE ABS DIAGNOSED. IT IS MORE THAN LIKELY AN ELECTRICAL FAULT OR COMM PROBLEM. POSSIBLY ECU OR A SPEED SENSOR. above the brake pedal is mounted a brake light switch. with a grounded test light, test for voltage at one wire in to the switch and when the pedal is depressed you should have another wire become live sending current to the rear bulbs.
