Try removing the alarm system relay, some car alarm has also a fuse on the alarm that you can remove.

Hello and thank you helping, I have a 1997 GMC suburban 7.4L and I am having problems unlocking it with my remote clickers. The one I had was doing the job, until it stopped working kinda. it would disarm...

There is something that i know you can try and usually it works.... you will need rubbing alcohol, a lint free cloth and a pencil eraser... Take the reemote apart like you are going to change the battery, than take the circuit board out on the front of the board you will see several gold colored plates take your pencil eraser and go over these plates several times until they are cleaned, then take the rubbing acohol and put it on the cloth clean the black pads on the back of the buttons, and then the gold plates put the remote back together and that will usually fix it, also sometimes where the battery clips into the remote the soilder will break and will have to be redone its pretty easy all you need is a soildering iron and reheat the soilder where it attaches to the board and thats it.
