If your original engine didn't have a knock sensor, but the new one does, don't worry about it. You can safely remove it or just ignore it.

Changed plugs and wires on a 94 ford explorer and now it 's not tunning right. need a diagram. please.

FIRING ORDERS NOTE: To avoid confusion, remove and tag the spark plug wires one at a time, for replacement. If a distributor is not keyed for installation with only one orientation, it could have been removed previously and rewired. The resultant wiring would hold the correct firing order, but could change the relative placement of the plug towers in relation to the engine. For this reason it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them. Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying illustrations. If the current wiring does not match, make notes in your book to reflect how your engine is wired. Will a 3.1 liter engine out of a 94 pontiac grand prix fit into a 98 chevy malibu, and what is the significance of vin code "m"?

I looked it up and it shows that these engine have diff. sensors to comunicate with computer and possible exhaust and intake are diff.,
check it out, 94 has OBDI the 98 has OBDII
I put the engines next to each other and compair,
94 engines are all by it's self.
98-99 engines are interchangeable
Good luck

94 ford tbird rebuilt engine wiring harness plug too small

If the rebuilt motor is a twin of the original, use the original wire harness. Why would the motor have a harness on it?You usually keep everything, including your intake system and just get the long block.
