Oil came out of the exaust of isuzu npr 87

You've, most likely, acquired a blown head gasket my friend. do a compression test on all cylinders with plugs out and crank each testing cylinder with only three revolutions of compression. You'll find that at least one and/or the one next to it with low compression because the compression is going into the crank case and an oil passage on the gasket is where it blew out letting oil into the cylinder and it goes out the exhaust valve.

Hi there. My bmw 1997 318is wont start. i took out d spark plugs 2 check the compression an it barely has. i think it might have jumped the timing or the valve might have burn. i need a picture showing the...

Rarely will you lose compression all of a sudden unless you have a broken valve or it is sticking, but compression should be there regardless of timing. What is your compression readings on all cylinders? Do you have spark to plugs? If you don't have compression, more likely it is broken cam belt if failure was sudden.

Motor spinnig freely when trying to start like no compression in motor and wont start after timing belt was fitted wrong in a 1995 toyota landcruiser

if belt was not put on properly car wont run. if its improperly timed valves are opening and closing when they shouldnt be. which inturn will not ,ix air gas and timing spark. when belt is on wrong it will seem like no compression because valves are improperly working. belt must be put on the rite way for your car to run.

Motor free spinning like no compression an wont start

I would check my timing belt/chain if the belt has broken or skipped teeth your engine willact like it has no compression because the valves are not working properly to let air gas spark in when its supposed to.

My 2004 chevy malibu classic 4 cyl wont start its

There are four things required for an engine to run: air, fuel, compression and properly timed spark. If you have fuel and timed spark, the only two variables are air and compression. Air is not the likely problem, and compression should be good unless you blew a head gasket or the rings in all four cylinders. How did you determine that you have fuel and spark? Those are the two most likely problem areas.

It wont turn over

sounds like timing belt to me, check for compression if you have no compression then you will know that the timing belt has broken. pull one of your plugs and have someone turn the ignition over and see if you can feel the air shooting out. I hope this helps you.

Car wont start after over heating

Sometimes when the waterpump leaks it leaks onto the timing belt making it slippery the timing belt probably jumped a tooth, to check this purchase a compression tester unscrew a spark plugs and screw the tester into the spark plug hole, have an assistant turn the engine over for 5 seconds wright down the reading proceed to test all 4 cylinder the compression should be a minimum of 110 psi on all if one of the readings is 50 psi the timing belt must be replaced, either way you must perform a compression test to rule out a timing belt issue first.

The engine has a compression problem.
Check if the engine is consuming water or coolant liquid.
If coolant liquid level is slowly going down as you drive then you have an head gasket problem, and that is the reason for loosing compression.

If not you will have to check caburetor settings or electronic fueling depending on the engine.

Car wont start

At first, I thought 'coil pack'. But you said it tried to start. So that's out. You might check that you're getting spark just to be thorough.

Did it ever start again after the stall on the interstate?

If not, I'm leaning towards the timing chain.

What happens if your timing chain broke:
  • The timing chain no longer turns the cam(s)
  • The cam(s) no longer open/close the valves
  • The valves become stationary, remaining open or closed depending on the position of the cam(s)
  • If even one valve is open in a cylinder, no compression.
  • No compression, no start.
How do you confirm this without tearing apart your engine?

Do a compression test on all cylinders. If only one or two have compression (or one or more have zero compression), I'm tipping over towards the timing chain.

Have a compression test done.

Hope this helps
