Visit the autozone.com website and register the car information. It's free and will give you access to an online repair manual for the car. The steps for replacing the brake pads should be available there. It's a handy resource. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Im not positive cause i havent seen a 98 steering wheel but i know on the 92 you need to disable the horn and take the steering wheel off to get to the switch. I assume you have wires crossing. i would check it right away before you have a fire break out.

It should be the small push button on the headlight switch assembly, If no small button is present then it would be part of the dash light dimmer usually it comes on and stays on if dimmer switch is in the full bright position.
