SOURCE: '88 chevy truck, no spray from injectors

Not sure on that model what controls the injector pulse, but most vehicles either use the signal from the crankshaft position sensor or a cam position sensor. You should use a LED testlight, (NOT A BULB TESTLIGHT!!) and backprobe the injector terminals (with the other lead of the testlight to ground) while cranking the engine over. If the light flashes on one of the terminals, then you are getting injector pulse, and the fault lies elsewhere. If not, then you will need to replace whatver sensor is used to provide engine position signal on that model. Also, check the wiring to that sensor. Some vehicles have problems with the crankshaft pulley harmonic balancer failing and damaging either the body of the crank position sensor or its wiring.

SOURCE: 1987 chevy s10 2.5l tbi will not start. changed

That eliminates the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors. Have you checked the fuel injector itself for an open winding or stuck valve plunger? There should not be a steady 12 volts to the injector--if good injector, it would be spraying fuel steadily into the throttle body. But at least the engine should try to run if poorly. Take the injector out, dry it off with air, and intermittently apply 12 volts to one terminal while grounding the other. You should hear a click from inside every time you touch 12 volts. If not, replace it. If it does, it may be plugged with debris. Try blowing through it in reverse with compressed air.

Ok on my 98 Chevy s10 I've pin pointed down to the

If you can make the injector click without cranking the engine, the injector ground circuit is bad, probably the computer.
If the injector only clicks when cranking, the ground circuit is working right, so the problem is with the injector drive circuit. There should be a fuse for the injectors in the power distribution box by the battery. Have you checked for that? Also check for power to the fuse with key on. Use a testlight or voltmeter to check for power.

Where is the fuel injector located and how hard to replace. 2002 cadillac Deville. nodakplayer@yahoo.com

It's not that difficult to replace. You should be able to get any diagram you'll need, as well as a lot more useful information by registering for free at www.autozone.com Registration gives you free access to repair manuals and some shop manuals, most with sections that can be downloaded and printed.

Have a 2001 ford f250 super duty need to know how to check fuel injectors......truck was running fine and then the enine ran real rough and when you push the gas pedal to the floor there is little...

The fuel injectors have a resistance of between 10 to 18 ohms.Test each injector. If any of the injector readings are higher or lower than they should be, you need to replace them.
For more troubleshooting:---

Put a long screwdriver directly on the injector while the car is running. Hold the handle up to your ear. You should be able to hear a rhythmic clicking sound. If you do, your injector is good. Hearing a clunk-clunk type noise means you have found your problem. Hearing silence or unusual clicking patterns means either the injector, wires or plunger may be bad or sticking. You will either have to clean or replace them.

-------------

Many a times you get black smoke from exhaust due to faulty injectors.Check fuel injectors. Leaking injectors create an overly rich air/fuel mixture and cause black smoke. Take the valve cover off and look at the exhaust part of the injector, when it is running. Each time the injector fires, you should see oil exhausting from it. If you see oil coming out, then the injector is good. When replacing a bad injector, take the glow plug out and crank the engine to get any oil out of the cylinder.----------------- This should help.Thank you.

Injectors s10 1991 .the injectors wont spray they have electricyty on the wire on the injectors fuelpomp works have fuel in line .its just the injectors wont sent inpuls.

So your saying fuel pump giving you pressure but ALL injectors are not firing. IF ALL INJECTORS ARE NOT FIRING AND FUEL PUMP IS A-OK THEN ECU IS THE PROBLEM.
However, if a few are not firing then its probably those injectors.

1993 chevrolet silverado 1500 will not start has new filter and pump can spray fuel in to it will start then dies when it runs out of the fuel sprayed it it

It sounds like your injectors are not firing which could be a crank signal problem or wiring, distributor pickup coil problem or a computer problem. One wire to your injector should be pink this is the power wire it should have around 11.5-12 volts with the key on. The other wire is ground that the computer uses to fire the injector which you can check with a good test light hooked to voltage. and work back from that point if you have neither at the injector.

Burb is missing. put new fuel filter in plugs, wires.may be water

If one cylinder is missing at idle, it would be useful to know which one. Pulling the plug wires one at a time with insulated pliers would tell us if one does not cause a change.
It could be a fouled plug.
You could switch plugs with another, to verify.

If not spark, could be fuel.
If throttle body, then not likely.
If individual injectors, then pull whole rail off and see if all injectors fire, spray pattern like cone, and none dribbling.

If none of above, then consider intake leak, collapsed lifter, valve adj, etc.

98 sonoma 4x4 ,4.3 vortec. won't start.new battery,coil,pickupcoil,cap,rotor,wires,plugs,fuel pump,checked all fuses, and grounds.even checked pcm.

My 98 sonoma would not start if humid and about 70F. There was also no fire when acting up. Finally found a bad connection on the hall pickup sensor from the distributor. I put ox-guard on the connector pins and plugged it back in - no problems. Took about 2 years and $500 in wasted repairs to find this. Good Luck!
