SOURCE: More knock sensor blues

Forgive me for asking, but are you sure you replaced the knock sensors? They are underneath the intake plenum. I'm just wondering if maybe you replaced the Oxygen sensors by accident. Anyway, so that you know, this is a very common problem (the knock sensors). Gm has issued a bulletin, something to do with the rear knock sensor under the intake getting contaminated by water, and they recommend a new sensor installed with silicone around the gasket to protect it. Also, the wiring harness is particularly tasty to rodents and they get in there and eat the insulation and wires! You have to inspect the harness carefully when you have the intake off because you can't see it when it's all together. Seen this twice now.

SOURCE: 2002 chevy silverado hd2500 6.0 ecm code po332 low

If all connections are good "dry, tight, no corrosion" then yes. It should be a defective sensor. These sensors are piezo sensors and create a voltage when sensing a knock. A bank refers to a side on a V style engine, 2 refers to the rear sensor on your bank 2. Bank 1 should be the side with cylinder #1 which should be the cylinder closest to you on one of the sides. So your looking for the rear sensor on the opposite side.

I HAD PO332 AND P1516 CODES ON MY 2003 SILVERADO 2500HD, THIS MORNING I COULD NOT ACCELERATE NO MORE

Welcome to Fixya

PO332 means there is a problem in the Knock Sensor 2 Circuit Low Input (Bank 2). This part might need to be replaced.

P1516 Throttle Actuator Control(TAC) Module Throttle Actuator Position Performance. Look for a yellow wire inside the throttle body connector. This wire usually breaks inside. To test, grab the wire for about 5 inches then tug if it breaks then that is the problem.

Thank you for using Fixya!

P0332 - Knock Sensor 2 Circuit Low Input (Bank 2)

The knock sensor is attached to the cylinder block. It senses engine knocking using a piezoelectric element. A knocking vibration from the cylinder block is sensed as vibrational pressure. This pressure is converted into a voltage signal and sent to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or Engine Control Module (ECM).

Causes for P0332 DTC:
- Knock sensor circuit short to GND.
- Knock sensor circuit short to PWR.
- Knock sensor circuit open.
- Damaged knock sensor.
- PCM or ECM failure.

Solutions:
- Repair or resecure the harness or connector.
- Replace the knock sensor.

Your best bet is to just replace the knock sensor for sensor 2 bank 2. Call Auto Zone with part number SU1282 this is the OEM replacement.

The knock sensor looks like this:

I have an engine code PO332 knock sensor 2 circuit low imput bank 2 what is this problem .the car is a 2001 gmc yukon xl .

The most likely cause of your code is a bad rear knock sensor. You should check the knock sensor wiring harness for corrosion. But if that checks out the sensor will have to be replaced. The knock sensor is under the intake manifold, although it's not too difficult to remove. Both knock sensors should be replaced along with the wiring harness, just because of labor involved in gaining access to the sensors. You could try clearing the code, it may stay off for a long time.
