AFTER MANY TURNS OF THE IGNITION WHEN THE STARTER FINALLY TURNS THE ENGINE OVER THE CAR STARTS OK, I TOOK IT TO AUTO-ZONE AND THEY TESTED THE BATTERY, STARTER, AND ALTERNATOR AND THEY SAID THAT THEY WERE ALL GOOD, THE BATTERY IS 6 MONTHS OLD AND THE STARTER WAS REPLACED WITH A USED STARTER ON JAN. 2012, CAR HAS 173,000 MILES.

Check battery voltage. If around 12.5 volts or higher, then check starter motor for fault.
(My best guess at this point is a failed starter motor or solenoid)
