Hi, I'm getting code p1445 (additive level too high) after I refill additive (fit almost 4 lit.). I try to reset counter to zero but ecu reply there is no communication with ecu and on display message...

recently had similar problem 307 55 hdi engine code RHR getting p1445 + p1435. Hooked car up to launch 431 code reader got p1445 purge flow sensor circuit high input. pa435 a/c ref temp circuit range/performance no contact. Then hooked to snap on ethos p1445 diesel additive system quantity too high. p1435 diesel additive system incorrect message from can bus. checked tank level 1/3-1/2 tank about right for 55k fired pump by shorting briefly appeared to work as youd expect. few hours later after dismantleing most of car looking for depolution ecu stumped ! next day dropped in to local peugeot dealer who i know well after a conflab they agreed these are common codes easy solution! The depolution ecu is found either beside the passenger seat (left) against the sill or depending on where its built behind the fuse board/glove box (where this one was) just remove felt under glove box look up with torch behind fuse board youll see big relay type unit with slide out release (red) unplug clean (toothbrush w40) apply vv slight pressure to pins to adjust contact, refit, clear codes job done !! Common problem apparently worked for me easy & simple place to start !

1996 nissan maxima check engine light on the mecanic used scaner two code p0500 speed sensor and p1445 manufactory controler auxiliary controls. what can I do? can I fix it?can i buy the parts ? can i...

Firstly, the code p1445 is actually an EVAP Canister Purge Control Valve...The most common problem is a failure of the valve itself, which is located at the top of the plenum chamber. Nissan offers a replacement valve with new bracket and hoses. It is around the $150-$200.00 mark.

But, remember to test the component (valve) first as this suggestion is just to the common problem, but in rare cases, it might be PCM related (water entry, shock etc)

Secondly, the p0500 code is a speed sensor and you can pick these up from autozone.....it provides the road speed for the speedometer and odometer..........if these are working fine, then you might have a wiring issue.

As these are 2 seperate systems, I doubt that they are related.

I hope this helps

Need to know

try unplugging the mass air flow sensor,on intake tube by air filter box,see if it will start,if it does ,that would be the problem, extremly expensive ,400.00 +,can find gauranteed used sensors on the web for much cheaper, google search or what ever you like.not sure about purge vaccum control, keeping the vehicle from starting, hope this helps some
