SOURCE: check engine light

this is very common on these. the upper intake seals leak and should be replaced. It is not a noticable vacuum leak and is usually worse when the engine is cold. It is not a very difficult job to do

PO175 code

this code refers to an o2 sensor bank2 (bank2 is the side of the engine opposite of your number1 cylinder) detecting a rich condition (too little oxygen in exhaust). Driveability should be fine but you may develop a cylinder misfire as a result if this isn't corrected soon. Usual causes include a vacuum/exhaust leak so inspect all vac hoses and pcv hoses and replace if needed. A dirty or faulty mass air flow sensor (you can get a can of mass air flow cleaner and spray the sensor and see if that helps or have the sensor tested to determine proper function or simply replace it). The last usual cause is faulty fuel delivery (usually a dirty/clogged fuel injector) but first check fuel lines to make sure nothing is pinched, leaking, etc, then check fuel pressure at fuel rail, next you can try using some fuel injector cleaner when your tank is almost empty, but getting your injectors professionally inspected/checked/cleaned/replaced if necessary is the best sure way to go. hope this gives you a good point of reference to start from let me know if you need any further assistance, good luck and merry christmas to you

The first time I had it scanned it said MAF malfunction, Then Codes 420& 430, saying bank1 &2 are bad. Then, I had those codes erased, and drove again to see when the check engine lite would come...

Hi, the o2 sensor codes may be a result of the maf. If the mass air flow sensor does not show the correct flow, the fuel mixture could be accomodating accordingly, resulting in a rich, or lean condition, setting codes. If there is a plugged, or restricted air filter, or a piece of debris on the sensor, this could cause a faulty reading. Also, make sure the air duct is tight at the throttle body, and the maf sensor is tight. Last, if you use a K&N filter, that uses an oil charge, there may be oil residue coating the maf sensor, causing an issue, or just a faulty sensor. At any result, I feel you should fix the maf issue, before the o2, as this is the order of operations, and you may not need o2 sensors. Good luck...Coop

My 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi 5.7L V8 is running two codes PO175 fuel system rich 2/1 and PO131 O2 Sensor circuit 1/1 low does this mean I need new o2 sensors or what?

faulty O2 sensors will throw a lot of things out of whack so start there, allow diagnostic reboot, drive and check codes again...

Repair po145 code and po174 code on a 2002 chevy tahoe

With both codes pointing at Oxygen sensor readings being faulty, I'd get a can of electrical spray cleaner and spray clean the MAF sensor (mass air flow sensor) and have codes erased and see if they come back. Good chance a simple can of electrical spray cleaner will cure both codes.

just bring it to a local advance auto or auto zone they will hook up a code reader this will point you in the right direction it may be an O2 sensor MAF sensor in need of a tune up (plugs, wires, PCV, Air cleaner etc.)
