SOURCE: pontiac firebird 2001, my turn signals don't work.

the problem most likely exist in the signal lever. Check and trace your wiring from lever to flasher

SOURCE: low beam headlights are out

doggymom676: I would approach the problem from the simplest point and then inward. Believe it or not, it is not as uncommon as one might think, for both bulbs to be blown on just low or high beams on both sides. What I would suggest is trying another bulb on one side to see if it works before getting into expensive diagnostics which you may or may not be capable of doing.
The second thing I would look at would be the dimmer switch which is part of the turn signal switch. This can be checked with a test light. Coming off the switch low beam will be the yellow wire. It should be hot when switched to that position.
Hopefully this shold resolve your problem, if not, I'll see to it that I am able to follow through with some assistance.

Firebird tail lights

It is a ground problem. When you turn on your headlights, they are sharing the same ground that your brake and T/S lights are using. Check all ground connections to the body from all headlight and taillight wiring are connected and tight. If it doesn't affect your taillights, it may be in your T/S switch. Check your ground connections first.
