Remove cv shaft front left side


Take wheel off then there should be a cover in the center Allen head bolts remove it I think there's a clip to remove and some other spacers then in bolt the lower ball joint pop it loose should be able to push and pull the cv axel out

I have a code P320 on my 1999 Jeep Grand. What do I need to replace and how? Thanks for your help. John


Replace the crank sensor.

The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor is mounted to the transmission bellhousing at the left/rear side of the engine block. The sensor is adjustable and is attached with one bolt. A wire shield/router is attached to the sensor.

REMOVAL
  1. Disconnect sensor pigtail harness (3-way connector) from main engine wiring harness.
  2. Remove sensor mounting bolt.
  3. Remove wire shield and sensor.
INSTALLATION
New replacement sensors will be equipped with a paper spacer glued to bottom of sensor. If installing (returning) a used sensor to vehicle, a new paper spacer must be installed to bottom of sensor. This spacer will be ground off the first time engine is started. If spacer is not used, sensor will be broken the first time engine is started.
  1. New Sensors: Be sure paper spacer is installed to bottom of sensor. If not, obtain spacer PN05252229.
  2. Used Sensors: Clean bottom of sensor and install spacer PN05252229.
  3. Install sensor into transmission bellhousing hole.
  4. Position sensor wire shield to sensor.
  5. Push sensor against flywheel/drive plate. With sensor pushed against flywheel/drive plate, tighten mounting bolt to 7 Nm (60 in. lbs.) torque.
  6. Route sensor wiring harness into wire shield.
  7. Connect sensor pigtail harness electrical connector to main wiring harness.

How do u replace lugnut bolt on front tire 2000


Hi,
The lugs are generally pressed into the rotor. They have a fluted shank which prevents them from turning when you torque the lugnuts. If you are going to do this job yourself, they can be driven out with a punch. The new replacement can be drawn into position with the lugnut, but you might need to utilize some spacers and washers to do this.
I've performed this operation before with the rotor still on the vehicle.

Distance fron center of axel to top of caliper


Check your wheel offset. You may need to put spacers between wheel and rotor to regain offset, or, change to wheels with a different offset. You can check clearance by placing thick washers on studs and tightening the wheel back up (this a mock-up to check clearance...don't drive this way) If it eliminates the clearance problem you likely can get spacers from any speed shop. If you have 14" wheels, you can go to a 15" but I believe you have 15's on there, don't you?

if it the 8 like wedge under the axel bolts you got to hit them on the side to get them out or sometimes use a screwdriver w hammer on thr side of them. then when you get the axel out there be two big nuts with a spacer betwin them.if you have a socket big i think 2 9/16ts or some people use hammer and chisle. take the 1st one off then spacer then last nut. then you mitee half to back off the brakes shoes off to get drum off(small hole in backing plate at bottom) good luck
