If you go to Autozone.com site and register your vehicle, you can get free wiring diagrams and fusebox layouts for your car. Another site is alldatadiy.com

Years ago, some Libraries would buy books which illustrated the wiring on many vehicles.

Finally, do a Web search using the header "1986 Dodge 600 wiring diagrams (or illustrated wiring)"

I hope my solution is helpful, please rate my info.

SOURCE: diagram for cooling fan relay on a 1995 Dodge Caravan

Try www.allpar.com or your local library web site.My library has an online automotive repair site accessible from home and also has Alldata.com that is accessible at the library itself. They may also have repair manuals in the library. Also, some dealers will let you look at their books if you ask nice.

SOURCE: radiator fans not working 1998 dodge caravan

First thing I would check is the fuse or the fan relay, located in the power distribution box under the hood. If that's not the problem, then I would find the coolant temperature sensor, unplug it with the key on and the fans should run.

SOURCE: I connected battery terminals backwards

It sounds like you shorted out quite a few things. Unfortunately, it sounds like you'll have to trace all your wires to see where the shorts are. I believe that several of your wires have fused together

in fuse box there should be a relay marked "fan" swap it for another relay say from heater and see if this fixes problem, also check if fan spins freely, it may be causing fuse to blow if it is a bit old& seized

2000 grand caravan 3.8 Condenser fans not comming on with a/c ...fans do cycle with engine temp compressor is engauging and a/c is trying to work but gets hot fast with no ..... fan working

Check under the hood in the fuse/relay panel. Lift the cover and look inside the cover for the correct location for the fuse/relay controlling the cooling fans. Either the fuse will be blown or the relay is bad. Use a test light to check the fuse for power on both sides,if you have power on the fuse then the relay has gone bad. Hope this will help you.

No current going into the fan switch or fan motor on a 2005 dodge 2500 pickup. Where are the fuses located for these two?

There is a relay located in the engine. and there is a relay for the fan in the wiring going to the fan. You are going to have to trace the wiring from the fan back to the point of where the relay is located.

Good Luck

Temperature sensor problem?

There are 2 different circuit that control the cooling fans.
The engine controller turns the low speed fan circuit on to control temperature and turns on the high speed fan circuit if the engine and A/C is running.
It sounds like your low speed fan function is not working.
Find your fan 1 fuse located in the under hood fuse panel and make sure it is not blown. If OK go to next step.
Find your fan 1 relay located in the under hood fuse panel. Find another relay in the fuse panel that matches and swap the two. If the fan then works you know you have a bad relay.
If both are check good, let me know and we will go from there.
Below, I have attached the wiring diagram for your cooling system, hope it helps.

My 97 dodge intrepid 3.5L is running hot.

Most likely a bad fan relay, or a bad temp sensor. Does the fan come on with the A/C? If not, most likely the relay, if so, most likely the temp sensor.
