Question about 1999 Mitsubishi Montero Sport
I rarely use four wheel drive. Maybe once or twice a year for limited distances. I figured I would exercise it. It went into four wheel drive ok and stayed there, but after a while the indicator life went off. I stopped the car and moved the lever back and forth from 2H to 4H. Sometimes the light would go on for a while in 4H, and sometimes not. Sometimes it would go on for a a half minute and then flicker and go out. The vehicle was recently at a Mitsubishi dealer for an unrelated service, and in theory they gave it the 21 point checkup.
Any suggestions on the possible cause would be much appreciated.
Take back to dealer ,they should of checked the 4wd as part of the check up.the customer is allways right.
