My husband made a stupid

My husband made a stupid mistake. He started to add oil to our 2002 530i when he realized he was pouring it into the transmission fluid hole. He thinks about 1/3 of a quart went in before he realized his mistake. Will this cause damage? What should we do now?

It wont cause immediate damage, but could over time. The best solution is to get the fluid changed soon. Transmission fluid Is oil just a different type with a lot of additives. The dilution of what he added should be a problem id dealt with quickly.

Yes it Will! You need to take it to the Dealership and have them Drain and Flush the Transmission Before it gets Ruined. Oil is a LOT Heavier than Trans Fluid and will harm the Clutches inside.
