I took thermal stat off car again, place it in hot water till the stat open(to see if working).Place stat back in and not put the housing back on,disconnect the top hose, pored anti freeze into hose.Anti freeze started to drip out of thermal stat,as I was filling head the air was being pushed out.I could hear like a whistle, when whistle sound stopped put thermal stat housing on,hooked hoses up.did not over heat and have heat in my car now

My heater core is fine in my 1998 dodge ram 1500 Laramie but i am getting very little heat

You can try replacing the water pump, but your heater core isn't fine. Unless you just replaced it. In that case you haven't purged all the air out of it.

Why is my 98 ford ranger blow super hot heat out of the vents when the heat is turned of also its overheating why?

Two different issues. The vents and hot air is caused my a cold air mixture door motor gone bad, it's very common. Replace the blend door motor to fix that issue. Overheating could be caused by many things including non working coolant fan, bad t-stat, bad water pump, low or leaking coolant or excessive buildup in coolant system.

Car heaters not very hot

try changing the thermostat and make sure all the air is bled out of the system this should help your heat problem.before changing the stat with the motor at operating temperature grab the heater hoses to see if they are the same temperature or not.if they are the same then change the stat.if not the same temp then the heater core may be plugged or partially plugged and will have to be changed.still change the stat as they do get tired and won`t work properly.

Replace ther fan rad water pump even put elec fan on still heating up

Have you replaced the rad cap or the thermos stat? If so you may have an air lock within the system which would require you to run the car for 10 to 15 mins with out the rad cap on this should remove the air lock..

Keeps over heating i have new radator old one blew out this seems to be doing same i have buy past heater core and removed therm stat, what is wrong???

sounds like a head gasket leak, you can buy a kit at your local auto parts store , that you can stick on your radiator and will change color if exhaust gasses are present in the cooling system. alumiseal does a great job of sealing leaks on the straight 6 motors on these models

Temp guage showing hot, not getting any heat for 1992 Mercury Cap

If the hoses to and from the heater core are hot , and you say the heater core is hot , then the only answer is that the air duct that flows into or out of the heater core plenum ( housing ) is not opening.
Heater control on dash borad inoperative.
Not sure about 92 capri , some cars have a cable linkage , some work on vacume motors.
Try to find a haynes manual for your car , they will walk you through almost every step of anything you may ever want to do to your car.

You seem to know what you are doing , but I gotta ask ........the heater core you felt was up behind the dash inside the passenger compartment of the car right ?

A6 2.4 heater problem

mcdevito75 here, Your speaking about the Heater control valve, this allows hot water (antifreeze) into the heater core so as too give you heat, (hot air thru the dash vents). This valve could be sticking, you can try to tap on it with a wrench see if it helps. Before you just change it check all associasted vacumn lines to and from this valve, also check all vacumn lines to the firewall and at the intake manifold for bends, breaks etc.
