Firing order 1-4-2-5-3-6 The rear bankicon1.png is 1-2-3 from passenger side to DRIVERarrow-10x10.png side (left to right). The front bank is 4-5-6.

My 1996 honda accord keeps idling up and down on its own I put a new distruberter in it and now it does that


you mixed up the wires,
always change wires sets, 1 by one, of get the firing order wrong.
alldata.com is the solution, or a real FSM.

or stated engine option in car, cyl count and displacement./?

Installing Spark plug wires


Unless the wires were removed the firing order cannot change as also the length of the wires do not permit that the wires switch over.
All what is needed is to check the spark at each plug , if of low internsity check the ignition system including the HT coil. Also the fuel filter and the fuel pump for the right pressure.

Hi the firing order for your Honda is 1 3 4 2.
No. 1 is the cylinder at the pulley end of the engine.
Honda put there engines in backwards to most front wheel drive vehicle, the pulley end is on
the right when u lift the bonet ( the hood )

The 2.7 L - V6 engine in a 1996 Honda Accord is : 1 - 4 - 2 - 5 - 3 - 6 The distributor rotor turns COUNTER-CLOCKWISE
The engine cylinders / spark plug locations are numbered :
1----2----3
4----5----6
front of Accord
