If the smoke is related to the p/s leak it is a bad vaccum switch on the side of p/s pump. has 2 hoses going to it.the fluid goes into itake and burns out threw the engine exhaust system.

I have had my Tuscon to 2 Hyundai dealers and both are giving me nothing.....for 4 months I have been experiencing the smell of oil/lube fluid burning which is coming into the cab, it is not exhaust fumes....

Good job, sounds like you are onto it. Only thing wrong with your analysis, is it could be leaking all the time, and only starts smoking when exhaust is hot enough to burn it.
Leaking power steering hoses can be very difficult to remove and replace-location makes them difficult to access, holding brackets may be hard to find. Likely you will need the front of car up on jackstands, and work from underneath. The two lines (the power line and return line) connect to the PS reservoir at top, and to the rack and pinion unit mounted on a crossmember below and behind the engine. Wipe both of them off to find the leak. You may have to run the engine while underneath to spot the leak. Often a small mirror helps to see up behind the engine. And remember, the fluid may leak at one place, then run along the outside of the line before it starts dripping on the exhaust. You may luck out and have a fitting on the reservoir that just needs tightening.
Good luck.

I have a 1998 dodge stratus. 2.4 L 4 cyl engine. smoke began coming from the back aarea of engine just in front of dashboard; radiator full. not running hot. oil level ok. no leak. no light indicato

Could be oil dripping from the valve cover onto the exhaust pipe.
One drip can cause alot of smoke when it hits the pipe.
Could be power steering fluid too.

Last week my 1984 nissan truck started smoking. It clears up and started smoking again the next day. That same day I put in brake fluid and power steering fluid before it started smoking. My brother in...

It's possible you overfilled the power steering reservoir or perhaps spilled some that leaked down on the exhaust manifold. That would cause a lot of smoke until it burned off.

My 2002 lincoln LS is sputtering white smoke out the exhaust and leaking power steering fluid severily. I can't drive more than 5 miles w/o putting more fluid in.

You can not use the vehicle at all

Repair the P/S Leak

It may be fluid burning off the exhaust
pipes

You don't want white smoke coming from inside
the exhaust system, or you got coolant in the
engine cylinders and big problems.

I have a 93 camry le v6 and I judt had the power steering pump replaced due to a leak. But I still have the same problem so apparently the pump was nevr the problem to begin with. There is no fluid on...

The power steering pump doesnt have anything to do with the exhaust, unless you mean it smokes under the hood...not the tail pipe...right? If you have to add fluid, there is a leak, most likely from the High Pressure line.

Burning smell and smoke coming from hood

you may have an oil leak and the oil is burning off of the hot exhaust or engine youll have to open the hood in order to decipher where the oil is coming from. or if its even oil it could be transmission fluid coolant a number of things youll have to see if you can tell exactly what it is thats leaking but my best guess is its probably oil.if it is oil its more than likely coming from the valve cover. id check there first.

Burning smell and smoke comming from vent, then hard to steer

Wild guess here... pin hole leak in power steering line leaked fluid on to exhaust manifold. Drained fluid caused power steering to go out. Replace power steering hydraulic line.
