Question about 2008 Peugeot 308 1.4
Oil level light has been coming on when I start the car. Car would turn over but not fire up this morning. My mechanic friend said that there was no oil in the car and that had affected the oil pressure.

Thank you for your full description, I wish others were more like you!
Although your light is going out all your Glowplugs/heater plugs may not be operating leavin just one two making it hard to start.
Do you feel up to testing them as this will need a few tools and a Multi meter??
If you do then you'll be coming back to me, if not pop into a quality repairer and tell them you feel maybe two of your heater plugs are burntr out so a test is required? or go for the throat and have the lot replaced as they don't live forever. There a 4 of them.
I hope this helped? if so press the Blue button or Appraise My FREE Effort, Thank You!

It sounds like your thermostat has gone bad and sticking close, Replace the Thermostat and Antifreeze. When replacing the thermostat, buy a fail safe thermostat so you will not have a overheating problem when the thermostat fails. Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted, be glad to help.

did you try the spare key? are you sure it is an immobilizer light? what does the warning light look like, can you describe it? replacing the battery in the key will not help as it is not needed for the recognition of the key(this is done by an induced current).
