Clutch f350 6.0

After the truck sits the pedal goes all the way to the floor, yoju can pump it up and it works, then after it sits it is back on the floor?

Since there is no loss of fluid we can rule out any leaks. A poor booster would make you apply the brake much harder to stop. So somehow you are not developing the necessary pressure for the brakes to function. The pressure is developed by the master cylinder seals. You can get a rebuild kit or a rebuilt master cylinder but the real pain is bench bleeding the new one. Luck to you.

1992 Ford E350-same brake concern, pedal goes to floor! Replaced master cylinder, brake booster, frt pads and rotors. Replaced rear shoes wheel cylinders, and drums, vehicle stops but pedal goes to floor, squeaze off rear flex hose and pedal is solid. Takes 2 > 3 pumps normally to get hard pedal then goes to floor, wouding in longer brake wheel cylinder pins would fix the problem???? P/S hope you can help.

If there is no bleedr, the loosen the lie and get fluid to at lest that point. The bleeder, not having onwe is unlikely, no offemce, just make sure. If the bleeder is anywhere it dhould or would be at a point higher than the line on the slave cylinder down on the bell housing. Open it and let gravity takr over unti the fluid drips steasdy. Slowly depress clutch once to get fluid moving.If long term non usem The cylinders, master and slave, good luck may have leakage needing replacement.l good luc and be careful. be sure brakes are set and vehicle is in neutral when underneath. Engine need not be running.

Clutch travel to the floor


the brake fluid has drain out of clutch master cylinder fill with brake fluid reservoir is next to the brake master cylinder. pump pedal if spongy then bleed system with a 2 ounce syringe at slave cylinder loosen screw and force fluid to the master this will push all the air out.

You have a leak in the hydraulic clutch system, most likely it is the slave cylinder down on the bell housing that is the problem as it is exposed to the most heat stress and wear and tear. The slave is part of the clutch release bearing and that means the transmission must be removed to replace it.

How do you bleed clutch system on manuel trans. 1996 sc2 saturn?


ahaaaa easy....under the battery is a 9mm valve connected to a plastic bullet looking piece thats goes into the top of the transmission....fill the clutch master cylinder with brake fluid an open the valve when fluid start running out close it..now refill the system..have someone start pumping the clutch pedal.pump it ten times an hold it to the floor,open the bleeder valve while still holding the clutch pedal to the floor..close the bleeder an repeat the process until the free play is gone in the clutch pedal this may take many times to get all the air out...but dont forget to keep the system full of fliud or u will pump air back into the system an have to start all over again

It has air bubbles on the piping, fill the deposit with brake solution, and push and pull the clutch pedal with your hand it doesn't matter if it goes straight to the floor if that happens pull it with your hand, repeat that as if you are bleeding it up, then disconnect the piping beneath the car, the air bubbles will be forced out, then reconnect the piping and repeat the procedure, push and pull the clutch pedal like a 100 times, then disconnect the piping and reconnect. The clutch pedal should be able to go back when there is no air on the piping. If that doesn't work, replace your clutch pump

My clutch pedal is stuck to the floor??


It is most likely a hydraulic clutch, and it is most likely leaking at the clutch slave cylinder. Check the clutch master cylinder for fluid, it should be a small master cylinder looking thing with a fill cap next to the brake master cylinder and booster unit. If it is empty fill it with the same dot 3 brake fluid that you use for your brake master cylinder, and make sure that you are pouring the fluid into the clutch master cylinder reservoir and not the rubber seal that should be under the fill cap. After filling the clutch master cylinder up with fluid, then try and pump up the clutch pedal. It might take a while to pump up hydraulic pressure, and you might also have to work the pedal a few times by hand at first.

Also, you might have to bleed the clutch at the slave cylinder if it will not build up enough pressure to release the clutch.

check all mechanical parts of clutch pedal make sure there is no catching or draging in its joint lube if possible also check the spring that pulls the clutch pedal back up make sure not damaged or worn out, A different problem may be in your hydrolic clutch system, such as a bad slave cylinder or your system may just need bleeding, if you have a problem with your hydrolics when the clutch goes to the floor and stays you will not be able to disengage your clutch as well until you pull the clucth back up and pump it a few times.

Need to have it check could be clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder or hose from clutch master cylinder to slave cylinder.check brake fluid at clutch master cylinder sit next to brake master cylinder if empty could have a leak. fill and pump peddle and look for leak.

Clutch no pressure


replace the clutch slave and master cylinder,this is a hard one to bleed, may have to pry clutch arm all the way in so slave piston is all the way back to not be able to hold air, once all air is out you may have to pump pedal maany times let it sit then pump pedal again you will see pedal getting better and better, good luck.
