How do I keep from getting drips/runs when spraying latex onto wood? I have no problem with walls at all. But everytime I spray a piece of furniture, doors or baseboards, I constantly get runs. Can anybody help with this?

Thank you very much! I will try that. I was not aware that mineral spirits would mix with a water-based material. Is there any way that you might be able to elaborate on applying light coats? I recently baught the Rac x tip and tip gaurd, including the 108 tip. And finally, what is the bennifit of mixing with mineral spirits opposed to water? Thanks ahead of time.

SOURCE: i have transmission fluid leaking

Hmmmm, The tube running to the firewall may just be an elevated vent for the trans, but it should noyt vent into the passenger compartment. Are you sure it isn't brake fluid? Brake fluid is used for the clutch as well as brakes. if either brake or clutch cylinders leak it would or could be possible the fluid will enter through the firewall and run down the nearest thing.. Ck that out, you can tell by smell which it is. brake fluid will wash off with water, gear oil will not. good luck

SOURCE: 03 ford expedition interior lights stay on and door ajar reads

This is a very common problem with Fords. I have one that was doing this as well. What works for most people is pretty much what you have tried - spraying inside the latch all over with WD40 Until it's coming out the bottom of the door. If this fails to work, the switch probably needs replaced. The switch is located inside the door near the latch. It should be pretty easy to find once you have the door panel off. Look for the wires leading to it. A new switch is usually very inexpensive, but may have to be purchased through your local Ford dealer. If you're not comfortable taking the door panel off, a mechanic should be able to do this repair for you in less than an hour of shop time.

SOURCE: 1987 Chevy S10 TBI 4cyl 2.5 L will not run. I

Check the injector for 12v on one wire. if good check the other wire for a ground witth the key on. The ground wire pulses from the ECM If you dont have 12v from one wire to the other but you have 12v from one wire to battery ground then be sure the ground wire is good to the computer. If you don't have 12 v at any time check for open hot wire or bad fuse. ADD 12v to the hot wire at the injector. DO NOT add to the wrong wire or you will fry the computer

Why is antifreeze leaking behind front tire

its probably leaking from a hose/pipe or head gasket and spraying onto the body of the truck and running down and dripping in that location. another thing it could be is a leak in the heater core and its running out the drain tube for the heater box and running down and dipping.

Our wheel wells have all been plastic for years..and amplify sound of road ..wheels..suspension components etc..just like an ovation guitar..
$30 ..SOLUTION>>..spray chip stop fibrated (sound deadening) tar/rubber spray onto the plastic wheel the same with firewall..and under side of vehicle..this will also protect from chip damage and rust..a sound tech with the movie industry in Toronto could not believe the dramatic effect..get about 3 cans from Canadian Tire in Canada or your auto stuff place near u..
NOTE>>.. wear plastic glove and old shirt to keep spray off your fingers and arms..
This works for all vehicles and is about the cheapest upgrade one can careful of paint..stuff rubs off/or use cleaning fluid..use piece of cardboard to keep spray off stuff you do not want to spray paint/tires/muffler..
ps Shell gas rocks (good mileage/power/cleaning..nitrogen enriched..)
Esso gas ..has a lot of sulphur..cabbies in Toronto say not as much mileage
and dirties engine up some..bob

Finished paint on solid-wood doors

sand smooth and spray on everything. Use a low pressure spray unit. Anything else will leave marks . Remember the finish is only as good as the start so brush in a primer and then sand out brush marks then spray the undercoat and finish coats

H2, where can the transmission fluid spray out of? and what is the normal cost to make the repairs?

Good questions.

If it is spraying out ... it is under pressure. I would guess you have a cracked line. You can verify this by getting down on the ground and taking a look. You could also say where the oil is dripping onto the ground.

How much to repair? Im thinking you need a new cooling line ... probably $100.00

Trying to replace my rotors but cant get the old ones off removed the caliper but rotor seems to be stuck in place. Tryed spraying it with a lubricant to easy the rust that is in there but still wont...

There must be something keeping it in place. Check that the handbrake is not in use. If it's not - then check if you have missed some hard to notice bolts.
Then take some piece of wood and a hammer, slam your rotor through the wood a few times, there must be handbrake pads stuck and keeping the rotor in place, or through the time the pads can make a bed in the rotor. the pads don't come off close enough to get out of that bed, therefore the rotor is not coming off. Use the brute force.
Hope this helps.

Oil leak onto garage floor either coming from oil pan gasket or oil filter not sure wich one

Clean the filter and pan with a spray cleaner, run engine for a few miutes.
recheck oil leak.
Probably is rear main seal leaking, very common trouble.
If not leaking much, keep drip pan under car to keep floor clean and drive on.
Most cars do leak after they age a little. The black line in the middle of the road is oil leaking from cars. Very common.

Everytime i try to crank my car it starts and turns right off! i keep trying it and it still turns off?

your idle air control valve may be gummed up with deposits. If you are able to keep the engine running with your foot holding the gas pedal down a bit while you crank, then this may be your problem. Remove the valve and clean with spray carb cleaner and spray out the bore as well. Clean throttle plate too. I hope this info helps.

My 2000 sienna van passenger window goes down o.k. but comes up very, very slowy and in interviles takes alot of time to come up almost a day what can this be.? thank you

this is caused by dried out window channel felts, get a can of spray silicone lube from the auto parts store and carefully spray it into the felt glass run channels, spray until the silicone drips out the bottom door drains, use covers to keep the chemical off the plastic parts of the door panel, it may discolor them, then operate the window up and down 3 or 4 times to distribute the lubricant, this should ease the resistance and the window will go up faster.

Back rims are stuck on truck even with lugs loose and truck jacked off ground. I tried putting one lug back on loose and kicking tire and tried putting it in 4L and neither trick worked. Seems like they...

Wheels often sieze themselves onto the hubs, Best thing is to jack the car up , place it on an axle stand, and hit the wheel rim, from inside out, place a piece of ragon the rimwhere you will hit it, one firm followed through hit, with a sledge hammer, you will need to rotate the wheel each time you hit the rim. Once the wheel is off, do what you must and on refitting, clean the area of the hub and the wheel parts where they mate with a wire brush, ideally after that if you can get some copperslip or grease, smear some around the wheel rim inner part and the hub where they mate. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES use the grease on the wheel studs, nuts or bolts, as it can cause the wheel fixture (nut or bolt ) to undo and the wheel can fall off. Hope that helps

Type of oil use on a squeaky wood chair?

Murphy's oil. It may take a couple of treatments but it will work. The wood is squeaking because it is dry. Dont use other oils because they can cause a break down in the finish and/or stain or laminate on your rocking chair. The Murphy's oil will soak into the wood and help restore the proper moisture to the wood so the squeaking will eventually
