Question about 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee
What does it cost to replace a water pump in a Jeep Grand Cherokee .
I already have the pump so basically what is the cost on labor ?????
First, I'll tell you what I used to tell customers that did this: Do you bring your own uncooked eggs to the diner?
The cost will vary... each shop charges a different labor rate. Without encountering any unforseen problems, I doubt if the cost will be more than $140 (excluding antifreeze). But, when approached with this while running a shop, I used to also add the "markup" I would have made on the pump as well... after all, why would a shop want to do the same job and make less than they would normally??? So if they charge you 20 or 25 more $, dont be surprised!

I have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee that I just replaced the water pump on. It was starting up just fine before I replaced the water pump, just overheating. Now it will crank, but not fire and start. What could be the problem? Could it be the crank sensor?
