You brakes will act just like old fassion ones you can skid to a stop. You my not stop as quick unless you know how to drive w/o antilock. Have your ABS wheel sensors checked

The ABS light is on my 2006 Chrsyler Pacifica Touring

Each wheel has a sensor. Theres more to it than the sensors. have the repair shop check it over for you and recommend repairs.

Need to replace front abs speed sensors on 2006 pacifica .how do i do it

If you look at the front hub area with the wheel off, youll see a wire running up the knuckle you need to unplug the connector, the sensor it self is bolted right behind the wheel with a small 10mm bolt, just take that bolt out and pull the sensor out, you might have to use a small flat head screw driver, then just reinstall new sensor..

youll have to have the abs light reset if its on, you can disconnect the battery and it should do the trick

2006 Chrysler Pacifica touring abs light on stays on

Hi. this light is a warning that concerns the ABS sensor and mechanism assembly. there is a central module and connecting sensors that are attached to each axle/rotor. If any of the sensors become unstable or starts to malfunction, the main module will detect this anomaly and it will trip the light via, the ECM.

I recommend taking this vehicle in so that the ABS techs can diagnosis this issue and they can pin point which sensor or mechanism is malfunctioning.

You vehicle seems to operate in a normal manner at this point but, you will actually have to be in a hard braking situation in order to experience this malfunctions results. If you where to initiate a hard brake while the ABS system is in safe mode(light on), your vehicle would simply lock up. It would not provide the ABS actions due to this malfunction that is evident at this point.

Please rate and god bless:)
