Question about 1999 Jeep Cherokee
With OBDII I cleared the 1391 code started the car the check engine light is not on. Shut car off started back up. Check engine light back on. I also disconnected ground wire from battery and code 1391 still on. It seems to start and run fine.
It's definately the next logical step since P1391 is for CMP (Camshaft) or CKP (Crankshaft) sensor loss. The cam sensor is available seperately, it's extremely easy to change, you don't even have to pull the distributor. Just take the cap and rotor off then pull the cam sensor out.
Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.
Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

95 JEEP WRANGLER 4 CYL
No spark. I have changed out the distributor cap, rotor, wiring from coil to cap, and coil was replaced. I checked the distibutor by turning ignition key and observing the rotor turn. What else can I check. I did not observe a module.
