Question about 2005 Kia Sedona

1 Answer

We own a 2005 Kia Sedona that has worked well for a long time. However, recently the heating has stopped working and blows cold air.

Well, whenever we took a look at the actuator (I think that's what it is called, it's located under the dashboard) that's supposed to make the heating or whatever. However, the blend door is stuck and a lever of sorts appears to be bent. Is there an easy fix for this?

Yes the fix is to remove the dash from the car and replace the blend door and the blend door actuator.

Not to difficult but you may need to get smaller tools to make it easier or possible depending on the tools you have now.

There is a separate button on the lower dash labeled RR HTR for the rear heater. If you do not engage the switch it will blow cold air.

Rear heat quit working in 2003 Kia Sedona?

i had the same problem back in 2007 0n a 2003 Kia sedona xl found out that there ate copper tubes running from the rad to the rear heater had small pin holes in those tubes'. Had to replace the tubes but if you get it rom Kia it will be pricey. Try a auto parts shop they maybe able to help you. But also check main rad if you see any leaks or coolant on the grond may have to replace rad at same time

My kia sedona van only heats up for a minute or

Check the metal part of the heater core lines at the firewall if you can get to them and see if one side is noticeable colder than the other. At least one of them should be hot or you have a bad thermostat. If both are hot than your hot/cold actuator inside is having a problem
