Question about 1998 Isuzu Rodeo
Does not keep coolant very long when i turn off car is when it leaks and if i turn off then turn on temp gauge goes really high but comes back down please help thank you
Use a cooling system pressure tester to apply pressure to the system. This will speed up any present leak and allow you to see more clearly where it may be coming from.
Check for water presence at the throttle body and thermostat housing.

There is a plastic heater pipe junction behind the inlet manifold against the fire wall that could be brittle and leaking.

try using a mirror to see in the rear of the motor because ther are freez or welch plugs at th rear of the head & engine block!
it may also be leaking behind the flywheel & can only be seen coming from where the transmission or gearbox bolts to th motor!

with my experiance on these engines it's usually the upper outlet hoses running from the heads into a t then into the upper radiator hose they are pain to replace but 3 out of 3 of my v6 isuzu's have had the same problem you'll have to pull off the theromstat and the coil pack the hoses are very small and run from the end of the heads one on each into a t then into the radiator hose just under the housing
