Hi,
Some models have 2 (or more) threaded holes to use screws/bolts to 'push off' the rotor.
Check fro those.

SOURCE: How to remove disc brake rotor on a 1992 Ford Explorer 4-wheel drive

It should just pull off once you have taken the caliper off. It may be seized in place, if thats the case try spraying the back of it with some sort of penetrating oil, let it sit for a bit. THen put some heat on it if you have torches, or beat it with a hammer. Sounds kind of crude...but it works

What tools do I need for front brake replacement on a 93 v6 ford ranger two wheel drive?

I have honestly never replaced brakes on a Ford Ranger but front disc brake pads are fairly simple to R & R. You either need a large allen wrench or a socket and ratchet. The socket size is probably 14mm or 9/16. You can use the tire iron and jack for your spare to remove the lug nuts on the wheel and jack up the truck. You should really use a floor jack and jack stands. Either way keep your body and limbs out from under the truck. Usually there are 2 caliper pins or bolts to remove. pull off the caliper and use a "C" clamp to compress the caliper pistons into the caliper completely and do not use anything but a clamp or you will never get it to depress. Keep the old brake pad in there on the piston side as a buffer between the clamp and the piston and it will help evenly disperse the pressure on the piston. Lube up the pins before you install them or they will be a nightmare to get out again. Vent the system by loosening the cap on the master cylinder to make the piston easier to depress. Let me know if I can help any further. Please rate me on this answer.

How to change the brakes on a 1998 ford windstar?

Very easy! I owned several different year Windstars....very good van...

Changing the pads are very easy. Here is the instructions:

Removal & Installation
  1. Remove the brake master cylinder reservoir cap. Siphon and recycle approximately half the fluid from the reservoir.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle safely.
  3. Remove the wheels.
  4. Remove the disc brake caliper guide pins.
It is not necessary to disconnect the hydraulic lines.
  1. Lift the disc brake caliper from the anchor plate.
  2. Position the disc brake caliper out of the way by suspending with a wire.
  3. Remove the brake pads from the anchor plate.
To install:
  1. Inspect the rotor surfaces for scoring or buildup of lining material. Minor imperfections do not require machining. Hand sand the glaze from the rotor using 150 grit aluminum oxide sand paper.
  2. Use a C-clamp and wooden block to seat the disc brake caliper hydraulic piston in its bore, as illustrated. This must be done to provide clearance for the disc brake caliper to fit over the front rotor during installation.
  3. Remove all built-up rust from the inside of the brake caliper pad contact area.
  4. Install the brake pads, with the clip on insulators, into the front brake caliper anchor plate.
  5. Install the disc brake caliper onto the anchor plate.
  6. Install the disc brake caliper guide pins and tighten to 23-38 ft. lbs. (31-38 Nm).
Failure to tighten the lug nuts to the proper torque in a star pattern may result in damage to the brake rotor.
  1. Install the wheel and tighten lug nuts to 83-112 ft. lbs. (113-153 Nm).
  2. Lower the vehicle.
  3. Pump the brake pedal to seat the brake pads.

I need to know the procedure for r and r on a front rotor if this is something that can be done at home with limited tools?

1999 Taurus/Sable Section 06-03: Brakes, Front Disc 1999 Taurus/Sable Workshop Manual REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION Procedure revision date: 06/25/1998 Disc Removal
  1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
  1. Remove wheel and tire assembly. Be careful to avoid damage or interference with caliper bleeder screw fitting and front disc brake rotor shield (2K004).
  1. ani_caut.gif CAUTION: Handle front disc brake rotor (1125) and disc brake caliper (2B120) assembly in such a way as to prevent deformation of front disc brake rotor , and nicking, scratching or contamination of brake linings/rotor surfaces.
NOTE: To prevent damage, do not allow disc brake caliper to hang by the front brake hose (2078) .

Remove caliper anchor plate bolts and discard. Position disc brake caliper out of the way. Prevent separation of caliper housing from anchor bracket because contamination of guide pin journals can occur.
  1. NOTE: If excessive force must be used during front disc brake rotor removal, the front disc brake rotor should be checked for runout prior to installation.

If additional force is required to remove front disc brake rotor , apply Rust Penetrant and Inhibitor F2AZ-19A501-A or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESR-M99C56-A on front and rear rotor/hub mating surfaces. First, strike front disc brake rotor between lug bolts (1107) with a plastic hammer. If this does not work, attach 2-3 Jaw Puller 205-D027 (D80L-1013-A) or equivalent and remove front disc brake rotor . Remove front disc brake rotor from wheel hub (1104) assembly by pulling it off the lug bolts.
Installation
  1. If original front disc brake rotor is being installed, make sure rotor braking and mounting surfaces are clean.
  1. ani_caut.gif CAUTION: Failure to clean rust and foreign material from rotor and hub mounting faces when installing new or old front disc brake rotors will result in high rotor runout, which will speed up the development of brake roughness shudder vibration.
Apply a small amount of Silicone Brake Caliper Grease and Dielectric Compound D7AZ-19A331-A or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESE-M1C171-A to pilot diameter of front disc brake rotor.
  1. Install front disc brake rotor on wheel hub assembly.
  1. Install disc brake caliper and new caliper anchor bracket bolts on front disc brake rotor . Tighten caliper anchor bracket bolts to 88-118 Nm (65-87 lb-ft).
  1. ani_caut.gif CAUTION: Failure to tighten lug nuts (1012) in a star pattern may result in high rotor runout, which will speed up the development of brake roughness, shudder and vibration.
Install wheel and tire assembly on vehicle. Tighten lug nuts to 115-142 Nm (85-104 lb-ft) using Rotunda Accutorq® Lug Nut Socket 164-R0303 or equivalent on a 1/2 inch air impact wrench, or use a torque wrench.
  1. Lower vehicle.
  1. Pump brake pedal prior to moving vehicle to position brake linings.
  1. Road test vehicle.
