Question about 2003 GMC Sierra 2500HD

Open Question

2003 gmc 2500hd, duramax. not wanting to shift.

At times the vehicle will not sheft from first until I let up on the accelerator then it shifts fine and there are no problems.. Also while pulling camper trailer the vehicle went to down shift and the check engine light came on. Upon stopping the vehicle would not go into reverse and a shift inhibitor message showed on the display. after sitting for approximately one hour everything appears to be working fine but the check engine light is still on. What would cause this?

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: 4X4 inop on 2003 GMC Sierra 2500HD

I have found that when you are going to engauge 4x4 high, it is best to only be going about 3 miles an hour. Not faster, not stopped. It likes some movement to help it mesh. I've had perfect shifts since I started this. Hope it helps. Wade.

Transmission shifting

Bring the vehicle to a transmission repair shop there they will scann the vehicle for codes and do the repairs that the codes list.
By your write up I would like to pressure test the main line pressure before I say anything.
I'm hoping its the shift solenoids.
Good luck
