Whats is the problem? Window will not go up and down? If this is the case replace the woper window motor

Is there a fuse for the window switch


Which window switch ? RT DOOR CB-circuit breaker , do you know what a circuit breaker is ? 25A (System power for right rear window)
LT DOOR CB 25A (System power for left rear window
The power window system will operate anytime the retained accessory power (RAP) system is active or when the ignition switch is in the ACCY or ON position.
The DDM contains 4 power window switches which are integral components. Closing any of the normally open, rocker type switches provides the DDM with a request for power window operation. The switches for the 2 front windows have 3 positions Up, Down and Express Down, while the switches for the rear windows have only 2 positions, Up and Down. Each of these switches and their positions is a direct input into the DDM. Upon receiving a request for power window operation, the DDM, transmits a class 2 message indicating the switch and it's changed position.
The PDM contains a single power window switch that is an integral component. Closing of this normally open, rocker switch provides the PDM with a request for the front passenger power window operation. The switch for the front passenger window has 2 positions Up and Down. Each of these switch positions is a direct input to the PDM.
The 2 rear passenger doors have there own switches. Each of the switches contain a power window up and down relay. A switch activation alone can control the up and down functions of the rear windows. However the BCM, upon receiving a class 2 message from the DDM, can control the set of relays which will activate the rear window motors.

  2. Disconnect the rear quarter window switch.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  4. Probe the accessory voltage circuit of the rear quarter window switch harness connector with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
yes Go to Step 5
no Go to Step 7

Connect a test lamp between the accessory voltage circuit of the rear quarter window switch harness connector and the ground circuit of the rear quarter window switch harness connector.
Does the test lamp illuminate?

  2. Disconnect the appropriate rear quarter window actuator.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  4. Connect a test lamp between the power window motor rear vents open control circuit of the rear quarter window actuator harness connector and the power window motor rear vents close control circuit of the rear quarter window actuator harness connector.
  5. Activate the rear quarter window switch to the Open and Close positions.
Does the test lamp illuminate?

  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

  5. Activate the rear quarter window switch to the Open and Close positions.

I have a 93 Nissan pathfinder, the rear window defroster dosent work,how do i trouble shoot and repair it. also, i cant seem to get the cruse control to work, how do i trouble shoot and repair it. tha


The rear window defroster can be tested by checking for power out of the fuse box to the switch which operates a relay usually 4 pin 2 pins are the controlling side and the other 2 are battery power and the window element wire. Some switches have a led light in them that shows power is completed thru the switch . With a volt meter test wires at rear window some times if to many breaks in the grid stops the system from working. the cruise control has a servo with it's own throttle cable check for broken cable and check for engine vacuum to servo. then test switches on steering column with a ohm meter for proper continuity and test brake light switch.

Toyota 2007 avalon rear defroster not working. Mirror defrost is working. What is wrong?


First check all fuses, second check for 12v power at the connector to th rear window, a test light or volt meter on dc voltage,if there is power use an ohm meter to check the window grid with the power connector disconnected.if open the connection is either open or bad. if there was no power at the connector check the power from switch all the way back to the window

GENERAL PROCEDURES Rear Window Motor Initialization s1r~us~en~file=ani_caut.gif~gen~ref.gif CAUTION: Make sure that no obstructions are present in the power rear window system when carrying out this procedure.
NOTE: This procedure must be carried out when repairs are performed on any part of the power rear window system including when: the power rear window motor is removed from the window regulator drum housing, a new power rear motor is installed, a new power rear window regulator is installed, a new power rear window module is installed, and any operation in which grease or lubricants are applied to the power rear window system.
NOTE: All power rear window components (window glass module, window regulator, window motor, and glass runs) must be installed and torqued to specification before carrying out this procedure.
NOTE: Steps 1-6 must be completed within 30 seconds. The entire procedure must be completed within five minutes.
NOTE: Once the ignition key is turned to the ON position in Step 6, it must remain on until the entire procedure is completed.
NOTE: Steps 7 and 9 require that the power rear window control switch be held in the closed position until the power rear window motor stalls the window in the upper header seal. Step 8 requires that the window control switch be momentarily turned to the open position.
  1. Start with the ignition in the OFF position.

Where is the rear window relay located on the 2002 Ford Explorer sport trac. Not the rear door windows but the very back window.

NOTE: The power rear window motor is not on the multiplex link. Any diagnosis and testing carried out on the power rear window will not involve the GEM module. Windows dont work


You checked the DRVMDL fuse in the rear fuse box ? The rear fuse box under the back seat. Also the PWR WDO circuit breaker in the rear fuse box.

I had the same problem with now power to windows, mirrors and seat. The common soulution is the orange and or black wire in the boot have broken between the door and post.

Power window problems


Repair procedure: REAR POWER WINDOW MOTOR INSPECTION 1. Remove the rear door trim panel. (Refer to BD group-Rear door) 2. Disconnect the 2P connector from the motor.f07bc65.gif 3. Connect the motor terminals directly to battery voltage (12V) and check that the motor operates smoothly. Next, reverse the polarity and check that the motor operates smoothly in the reverse direction. If the operation is abnormal, replace the motor.
