Question about Peugeot Cars & Trucks
Doors open with remote but nothing happens with the boot
First to open boot get into boot via folding down rear seats and pull emergency opening cable. Now boot open try remote and see if it actuates. Next push lock catch to closed position and try agai. 407 has a seperate solonoid for boot if it has open boot only option on fob. Not working check fuse in fuse box, correct fuse is shown on inside of box lid. If fuse ok. Remove actuator by unscrewing boot trim and unscrew with a 10mm spanner. Unclip wires. Check solonoid by powering by battery and you will hear click and see actuator arm move in. If not working take as an example to,spares shop to match up. As a temp fix tie string to emergency handle and threat through back seats so you can pull cable from inside car. Good luck.

The boot (and doors) central locking is all on one solenoid so if the doors work, there's nothing wrong with either the fob or the fuses/solenoids .. the place to look is in the boot lid itself .. has one of the wires next to the lock become detached (the wirews usually run across the top of the boot and it's easy to 'catch' them when loading/unloading large items) ???
If not, then it MAY be the lock/actuator itself .. you will need a multimeter (or a bulb) to check that the 12v is being fed to the actuator when you use the fob (if no, go follow the wires from the boot lid .. they could have been broken elsewhere ...)

Have you tried your spare remote, it may just be the remote button is defective. If no then the electric latch motor is defective or some how jammed

Well first open it up completly. Remove the battery. Get a hair dryer and dry it out completly. Then let it stand for several hours to cool down. Make sure that the contacts where the battery fits are clean of any rust, or corrosion. Now install a new battery. It should work.

SOURCE: I cannot open the doors
This is a common fault on the series 3 usually down to the General Module 5 or GMV relays breaking down. Item is situated behind glove box reasonably easy to replace. Cost from BMW about £240.00 Can be found through breakers about £60.00. Keys will have to be recoded. See www.bmwgm5.com for more info.

In the engine copartment there is a fuse/relay box. Check the rel;ay for power door locks, It should click when you push the door lock remorte button or the door switch. If it doesnt replace that relay. If it does click then the issue could be with the computer in which it would need to be whats called "flash programming". This is basically a software update much like when you computer does all that software update stuff itself. For the flash update that will need to be done at the dealership.

The Child Safety options prevent children from opening the sliding doors. Similiar to the safety locks. Disengage and the sliding doors side buttons will operate. I glad this worked for you. And you are entirely welcome!
